We've got a couple of workshops happening out and about before the end of the year! 🎄

We'll be heading to The Spotted Quoll Factory Studio in Invermay for our Rusty Poppy Workshop and Christmas Wire Wreath Workshop.

And if Christmas isn't really your thing, that's perfectly fine too! Our wire wreath workshop has plenty of Aussie-themed options, with native birds, flowers and foliage, so you can create something lovely to hang up all year round.

A couple of fun afternoons getting creative, trying something a little different and heading home with something you've made yourself.

Rusty Poppy Workshop: Sunday 29th November, 2pm–3pm.

Wire Wreath Workshop: Saturday 5th December, 2pm–4pm.

Both workshops are at The Spotted Quoll Factory Studio, 18 Herbert Street, Invermay.

Well, this is getting serious now… two months today until Christmas. 🎄😳

This little bottle has already found its way into our hands, and it’s exactly the sort of thing these Sunday posts are about. Finding local businesses doing their own thing, making quality products, and giving us another reason to keep some of our Christmas spending right here in Tassie.

These poppies are more than just flowers. Each one carries its own story of remembrance, reflection and support. 💜

Alongside our traditional red poppies, we've now added purple and battlefield blue, each with their own special meaning.

Our battlefield blue memorial poppy shows support for those living with PTSD, acknowledging the lasting impact of service and trauma, and the battles that can continue long after service has ended.

The red poppy remembers those who served and those who never came home, while the purple poppy honours the animals who also played their part in war.

Three colours, three special meanings, and a lovely way to keep remembrance close.

Apparently there are only 9 weeks (and a bit) until Christmas 🎄😳 Yep, that snuck up rather quickly.

So for this Sunday night’s little Tassie gem, we’re shining the spotlight on Healing Season, a small Tasmanian family business making tallow soaps, balms, hair care and everyday household products in small batches.

Alex has just finished creating this stunning new bird bath! 💙

We've popped it amongst the natives in our garden, where it looks right at home, but we reckon it would look soooo good just about anywhere in the garden!

That beautiful blue glazed bowl really makes it stand out too, adding a lovely splash of colour amongst all the greenery.

There's something about having a bird bath in the garden, especially when the birds start visiting. And this one is just as lovely to look at even when they're not around.

It's $950 and is currently on display in our garden at Tassie Metal Art in Gravelly Beach, if you'd like to come and see it for yourself.

Well, this is some pretty exciting news for our little Tassie business!

This year, we've been named winners of TWO awards in the 2026 APAC Manufacturing Awards!

🏆 Leading Sculpture & Garden Art Destination 2026, Australia

🏆 Australian Metal Art Craftsmanship Excellence Award 2026

When we look back at where we started eight years ago, and how much our little business has grown, it's pretty incredible to see our work recognised like this.

From small beginnings, and making garden sculptures in our workshop to taking on large-scale commissions. From creating a place where people can visit, wander through the gardens and enjoy what we make, it's certainly been an adventure!

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Whether you've purchased a sculpture, visited our gallery, joined a workshop or simply shared our work with others, you've all helped us get to where we are today.

We're pretty proud of this one! ❤️
