We’ll create candles.
We’ll share a meal.
We’ll set intentions.
We’ll celebrate the return of light.

And for a few hours, nobody needs anything from you.

Preparing for this Sunday’s Winter Solstice Candle Making Workshop. Every candle begins with a vessel, but what we’re really creating is an experience Kelly Whelan Seraphima Holistic Healing Rachael Huntly.

This candle starts as wax, fragrance and a vessel.

But by the end of Sunday’s workshop, it will hold so much more.

It will hold an intention.

A moment of stillness.

A conversation that touched your heart.

The energy of a room filled with women choosing to pause.

Winter Solstice reminds us that even in the darkest season, the light always returns.

And sometimes that light begins with something as simple as gathering together and creating with our hands.

I’m busy preparing vessels, fragrances and all the little details that will make this day special.

I can’t wait to welcome everyone into the space. ✨

I didn’t create this Winter Solstice gathering because women need another thing to do.

I created it because women need permission to pause.

To step away from the demands of work, family, responsibilities and expectations.

To gather in a beautiful space.
To create with their hands.
To share a meal.
To laugh.
To reflect.
To reconnect with themselves.

This Winter Solstice, we’ll honour the return of light through ceremony, candle making, intention setting and connection.

And if you’re anything like me, perhaps it’s exactly what your soul has been craving.

The answers weren’t out there. They were within me.

For years, I searched for answers outside of myself.

I looked for signs.
I asked for advice.
I sought reassurance.
I waited for someone to tell me I was making the right decision.

What I didn’t realise was that all that searching was costing me something.

It was costing me trust in myself.

The more I looked outside of me, the quieter my own voice became.

The turning point wasn’t finding the perfect answer.

It was learning to listen.

To trust what I already knew.

To honour the whispers before they became shouts.

Today, I still seek guidance, wisdom and support.

But I no longer hand over my power.

Because the answers I need most don’t come from someone else.

They come from within.
