My name is Dorothy McCorkelle and I have been sewing most of my life and have been making quilts & sewing patchwork for many years. My children learnt to count using a tape measure! I am married and have 2 sons & a daughter, 2 grandchildren, 1 girl & 1 boy. I live in Griffith NSW, on small acreage, a dynamic rural town in the Riverina. We grew pistachios & apricots & now have native trees planted. Most of my quilts are given to family members, others have been commissioned and also some have been donated to various causes. I enjoy sewing & creating crafts and it also keeps me busy in retirement, ( I worked in administration), meeting some wonderful people along the way. Recently I started going to local markets again with my crafts. I make several types of patchwork bags and styles, using 100% cotton that can be sourced to where it was grown. Fabrics are sourced from Small businesses Australia wide. Other projects I make are, small colourful quilts (various sizes & prices) some I quilt myself others I send to a machine quilter. Setup for the next few days at Rosewood on Stokes, Open Garden. Browse the bric-a-brac, crafts (supporting Fred Hollows Foundation), a variety of patchwork items (ASU) & garden decoration designs. On the weekend enjoy a coffee or meal supporting Binya School. Pink Up for Breast Cancer. If you're visiting our city or local just out for the day, we love to see you.

All Sewn Up, featuring a range of fabric crafts, will be at The Griffith Show this coming weekend. Come along and say hello. A new style of glasses/phone wallet, in a variety of prints. Food covers to keep the bugs off and bordered in pretty and seasonal prints and more.

I'm setting up again tomorrow at The Toganmain Precinct Open Day.
A variety of stallholders will also be there during the day for your interest.
Lots has been happening sine their last one! And if you haven't been it's well worth visiting.

Hi everyone, I'm back into crafting after being busy with sewing group making a range of charity quilts and other items. Also some for family.
Markets are starting again soon at a range of different venues.
Here is an updated version of the microwave cosy. I have added tabs for easy holding, to see if it's any easier for people to hold.

Congratulations to all at Toganmain today. Supporters, market stallholders(me being one) and general public, who attended. The volunteers, who are doing a terrific job towards restoring this iconic Shearing Shed, buildings etc. So that others can gain so much enjoyment and knowledge from here.
