Over the weekend we celebrated Georgie’s 30th birthday in the studio with an afternoon of painting ceramics, which was a huge success with loads of chatter and creative play.

It has sparked another conversation as we’ve been asked many times if we would run workshops.

If you could spend an afternoon creating with us at Hope & Co, what workshop would you choose?

🌿 Paint Your Own Ceramics

🌿 Learn to make a slab bowl or plate

🌿 Paint a small canvas

🌿 Slip casting pottery

🌿 Something Else?

A few hours for you to escape. Time for you.

…What would you love to try?

Great excitement today at Hope & Co. HQ!

Our frosted window sticker arrived and was installed — doesn’t it look fabulous!? ✨✨✨

The studio is feeling really alive with the 3 of us now working here — we are now joined by Georgie’s very talented marketing whizz husband, .christie who is now our Head of Content & Digital Srategy. Please give him a warm welcome in the comments! 👏👏👏

He’s going to keep us on the straight and narrow 🤣 fabulous at running meetings, and brought so much energy and care to the work he does here.

We’ve adjusted our sails & can’t wait to show you alllll we’ve got planned, bringing you more & more Australian made art & design that you’ll love to live with. 🤍

‘Wild Ocean’ is a work of epic proportions — both in the journey to complete it, and the literal scale of the work (one of my largest to date, measuring 1.5m x 1.5m).

Offering prior to my formal collection release soon, as it’s the only seascape, in a sea of landscapes.

You can almost smell the ozone from the spray …

This painting is full of movement, layers, impasto and expression.

It depicts a patch of wild ocean, you can remember from your childhood.

And best of all, it’s a painting you’ll love to live with.

Available now to collect — POA, enquire via DMs 🌊🤍

There’s a rhythm to working with your hands.

Not loud—small, repeated ones. Useful ones.

Mixing colour.
Cleaning brushes.
Playing with paint.

Lately, I’ve been trying not to watch the news.
Bits seep in, but the scrolling feels like too much.

When everything outside feels fast, loud, or uncertain…working in the studio is where I come home to.

To clear my head. Embrace what simply feels good and steady. Light.

Save this for when you need it.
Where is your refuge? I’d love to know.

There’s a certain patience in painting grass.

Building depth slowly. Letting the landscape settle.
These moments in the studio are shaping a new body of work, and I’m really enjoying where it’s leading.

More soon 🤍 SHx

Sneaky peeks of the revamped Hope & Co. studio at Fenton Street. Have to say I’m done with the paint roller for a bit!!! This space was the shop space and will now be our office and the table will function as a hot desk for our laptops, as well as the odd styled photoshoot….I’ve employed colour drenching and painted over the white walls with a warm neutral, with double strength on the window trims and skirts. And I’ve gone all out the back of the front door darker in a milk coffee colour. Cannot wait to get this space open for workshops in March! Tell us what you think! ⬇️ SHx

🌟🌟🌟Guess what’s coming….!!!💫💫💫 In a couple of days….we’re dropping some new bespoke ceramic pieces online. It has been a crazy business trying to juggle all our hats and get our Fenton Street studio ready for its new incarnation in 2025 as a much more comfortable and functional home to Hope and Co, ( oh my gosh there is some stuff happening next year!) and our boutique publishing business . We are super excited to be hosting all this under the one roof and create a truly creative hub in our regional town, where an interactive experience for clients and customers will be available via a number of workshops and ‘creative collective’ get togethers. (Recession be damned! We are ploughing through, above and beyond! and we want you to share our gorgeous space with you.

In the meantime, we look forward to sharing some new pieces with you—especially love these generous stoneware vessels, beautiful for flowers or as a planter…THERE ARE ONLY 2 OF THEM, one green and one blue and they’re not the same…

Thanks for your patience with the drop, if you’d like to get first dibs on these wares or other one off pieces, first, head to our website in the link in the bio above and you’ll get the heads up, as to exactly when and what time before everyone else….Much love S + G xx
