I thought I’d show you something I’ve been making recently, among other things - these cute sardines! 😁

They have turned out to be a little addictive, and I’m onto my fourth one at the moment!

I was inspired when I saw a post about the beautiful installation of fish in La Mercerie windows, I’m thinking of making my own smaller school of fish for our shop too. I have plenty of small amounts of DK to work through, so I’m thinking very colourful fish.🐠

I was also considering knitting some much smaller ones in 4ply and making them into a mobile , I think that could be fun too. So many possibilities! 😊😁

I’m using a great pattern by Barbara J Ceiga called Sardine I found it on Ravelry.🥰🥰
And I’m using leftovers of 8ply hand dyed speckled wool.

Hello Monday! We were running a bit late this month with our Scrapoy packs, but I’m happy to report the October batch are ready now and available in the online shop. 🎉🎉

What a wonderfully busy week it has been so far, huge thanks to everyone who shopped our flash sale over the weekend, we are nearly through all the orders, so hopefully your goodies will be with you soon.😘😘😘

We have had some lovely new additions to the shop recently, including new colours in the gorgeous NZ Possum Fusion. 😍😍
This is a wool/possum blend, 8ply weight yarn that creates the softest, squishiest fabric, so warm and cosy too.
I think I’m going to knit a few beanies and a Sophie or Alex scarf in it for next winter.😊😊

I’m having lots of fun test knitting Splice and Dice, a gorgeous new shawl pattern from the lovely Jacqui Verbeek 😍😍😍

Such a great pattern, easy to follow with great detailed instructions and video support. I believe the pattern will be released soon, possibly later this week,( sorry, can’t remember exact date) .

Perfect for using some of my precious mini collection, each colour choice is such a dilemma, too many different ways to go with the colours!
I’ve started on my first 2 strips, and have 2 more to go, so 4 strips in total for a nice squishy scarf/shawl.
It’s very addictive, and I find myself wanting to keep adding triangles to see how the colours look.
