3 things your living room may be missing - If your living room never quite feels finished, it might be one of these.

1. The right rug — it should be large enough to anchor all your furniture, not float in the middle of the room.

2. Layered lighting — turn off the overhead light and switch on your lamps. Layer ambient, task and accent lighting for a room that actually feels warm.

3. A focal point — give the eye somewhere to land. A piece of art, a fireplace, a beautifully styled shelf. Without one, a room feels directionless.

Small changes. Big difference.

This is where it all begins.

Floor plans spread across the table, paint chips, fabric swatches, stone samples, timber finishes — and two people figuring out exactly how a home should feel.

This is one of our favourite parts of the design process. The early conversations. The material selections. The moment a client holds a sample and says ‘yes, that’s it.’

Every selection we make is considered against the architecture, the light, the lifestyle and the brief. Nothing lands on a floor plan by accident.

If you’ve been thinking about working with an interior designer but aren’t sure where to start — it starts here. With a conversation, a set of plans and a table full of beautiful possibilities.

The 3 rug rules every room needs.

A rug can make or break a space — get these three things right and the whole room comes together.

1. Size up — always. When in doubt, go bigger. A rug that's too small is the most common mistake we see.

2. Front legs on — at least the front legs of every piece of furniture should sit on the rug. This is what visually connects your furniture into a cohesive seating group.

3. Even border — leave equal breathing room between the rug and the walls on all sides. It makes the whole room feel considered and intentional.

Current Obsession | Tailored Lampshades

Tailored lampshades are one of those finishing touches that quietly elevate a room. Whether it’s a pleated linen shade, a patterned fabric, contrast trim or a softly gathered silhouette, they bring warmth, texture and individuality to a space.

I love incorporating custom lampshades into projects because they instantly make a room feel more collected and considered — far removed from the standard off-the-shelf option.

Beautiful lighting isn’t just about the base of the lamp; the shade itself can become a design statement and add another layer of softness and personality to a home.

FABRIC OF THE WEEK - GP & J Baker x Kit Kemp — Flower Pot

Flower Pot is a richly embroidered design from the stunning debut collaboration between iconic British fabric house GP & J Baker and the wonderfully creative Kit Kemp. Intricate flowers and geometric motifs cascade in a vertical stripe, blending organic floral forms with structured pattern — the result is something truly special.

Every stitch has depth, every detail has intention.

Kit Kemp brings her signature eclectic and colourful spirit to this collection in the most joyful way.

We can imagine this on curtains, blinds, cushions or as a statement bedhead fabric — it has the kind of personality that makes a room unforgettable.

Are you brave enough to try it? We absolutely are.

MORE IS MORE

In a world of white walls and quiet minimalism, some designers dare to go further — and we are here for it.

Maximalism at its finest isn't chaos. It's confidence. It's knowing exactly how to layer a Moroccan tile with a floral wallpaper, a striped cushion with a geometric rug, and somehow — making it all feel completely intentional.

Pattern on pattern. Texture on texture. Colour on colour.

This is interior design with no apologies.

GIVE YOUR FURNITURE A SECOND LIFE

Reupholstery is one of the smartest ways to transform a space — without letting go of the pieces you already love.

From worn sofas to tired dining chairs, quality reupholstery can completely refresh the look, comfort and feel of your furniture while preserving its original character.

Whether you're after a modern update, a timeless fabric, or a full restoration — the results speak for themselves.

This beautiful chair? We've now recovered it twice for the same client. A true testament to quality over replacement.
