From the weaving villages of Yalameh in Persia to Hobart, this beautiful rug carries a story in every knot.

Hand-knotted in wool, the design is filled with traditional diamond motifs, small flowers and tribal symbols, all arranged in rich shades of red, blue, ivory and soft pink. Each section has its own character, yet together they create a beautifully balanced piece.

This is the type of rug that is not simply made for a room — it becomes part of the room’s story.

A fine Persian Yalameh, approximately 3.4 × 2.4 metres, with detailed weaving and wonderful traditional character.

Available to view at The Rug Gallery Tasmania, 126 Bathurst Street, Hobart.
