I’m thrilled to share my latest creation for my favourite return customers. After their loved shade was knocked over in a recent storm they asked for something new. Handcrafted in my Brisbane workshop and headed to its new home today.

I had a beautiful silk skirt that I loved but never wore because I didn’t feel good in it. I couldn’t part with because I loved the fabric so much. I found a better way to enjoy the fabric.

A client gave me some fabric to work with that was her grandmothers. Circa 1980’s, this fabric has a lovely shine and will look great in her coastal home.

This fabric came from my client’s grandmother collection. Circa 1980. She was a seamstress and gave her a stack of fantastic retro fabrics.

Sometimes a fabric doesn’t photograph at all what it looks like in real life. So I have started this post with a realistic picture of the fabric. This lamp was a trial using this gorgeous and very delicate linen in a duck egg. It turned out great. My daughter has claimed the trial shade and is happy with her room refresh. The actual order looks even better and I will be sure to post a picture of it in its new home soon.
