I have been checking out for a while now. So when a need arose to visit some showrooms in Byron Bay it meant I had the opportunity to stay and check them out for myself! Apart from Matt presenting it as a ā­ļøā­ļøā­ļøā­ļø air bnb ā€¦ it was just schmick! But the build and options from Salty Builds was awesome! Enjoy my tour about the things I liked the most!

I was invited to attend (thatā€™s ā€œBloum not Blarlumā€ ā€¦ pardon me for the mispronunciation all these years!!) awards with finalist Tess and her team from in Sydney this week! What a blastā€¦to see amazing joinery and use of Blum (which you all know how much I love their drawers) we rode Lime bikes as our mode of transport šŸš² from showroom to showroom to showroom! This would have counteracted the food we ate if it hadnā€™t been so easy to ride with electric help! We oooh-ed and ah-ed at 1000 light fittings, handles, tiles that reached the sky, the latest toilets, ā€¦furniture and so much more! My design cup feels full!

The garden! We started landscaping the 10th August 2025, in prep for our daughters wedding in February.

It took a while for Dan to get his head around my design and with the help of Cherie for some renders of the finished designā€¦ we got started!

Thereā€™s been a few big failsā€¦ like the meadow gardenā€¦ *throat clear* ā€¦ yes it ended in a fireā€¦burning all the weeds! But also the trees have taken off (see my story) and the grass has grown and we have lost a fraction of what we planted. (Thanks grubs)



There has been many people whose kindness in lending equipment or time or rocksā€¦or our employees who have covered for Dan to help us get it over the line but a huge shout out to Dan who has been consistently plugging away with the know-how to make it happen! Thank you Littleone. xx

I will add bits and pieces to my stories because there is more like 18mins of footage of all the in betweens!
