Warping the woollen blankets. This wool feels so nice! I'm very happy with the quality of the yarn (Tatlock Yarns). The black wool came in balls (Bendigo), so I had to find a system to warp with the yarn straight from the ball. Separate boxes and once wound around the poles of the rack to give some tension and it worked! And safed me a lot of time. In weaving one got to be inventive sometimes! 😉

The kid mohair yarn has arrived yesterday, but now I'm very much caught up in warping. Today I'm making the warp for some woollen blankets to go on my large loom. The yarn is 100% Australian wool! Supporting small businesses.

Next mohair scarves are on the loom. This lot is only 80% kid mohair and 20% wool, so it's going to be interesting to see how this yarn behaves. The colours are very subtle. I want to weave this with the 100% kid mohair, but didn't have the right colours. So I quickly ordered more. Meanwhile I'll have to do something different?!

We have another brush turkey making a nest right next to the compost bin. This is day 4 where he scratched everything across our driveway.... Now we need some female turkeys!!!

First scarf is done and this is already the middle of the second one. The pin marks one metre woven. All good, not one broken thread so far 😁. Hope I haven't jinksed it....
