Whether you visited an exhibition, explored a new town, joined a workshop, followed the trail, discovered a new artist or simply enjoyed the journey, your feedback matters.

We are absolutely overwhelmed, humbled and incredibly proud to announce that Wadna has been named the South Australian Winner at the 2026 Telstra Best of Business Awards!

For us, this is so much more than winning an award. It is recognition of our culture, our people, our Country and the years of hard work, determination and passion that have gone into building Wadna.

As a small, family-owned and operated Adnyamathanha business in the heart of the Flinders Ranges, we started with a vision to share our culture, preserve our stories, create opportunities for our people and give visitors a genuine connection to Adnyamathanha Country.

We have worked tirelessly, overcome challenges and made many sacrifices along the way. But we have never lost sight of why we started.

Our culture is our strength, our Country is our home, and our people are our inspiration.

This award is not just for us. It is for our Elders, our ancestors who walked before us, our family, our wonderful staff and the next generation of Adnyamathanha people who will continue to carry our culture forward.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, joined our cultural tours, purchased our handmade arts and crafts, supported our little business or simply encouraged us along the way — THANK YOU!

Your support has helped turn our dream into something truly special.

To be recognised on this level, alongside so many outstanding South Australian businesses, is an achievement we will treasure.

🎨 BRING ON 2027! 🎨

What a wonderful five weeks it has been — and now we’re already looking ahead!

ABWA – A Brush with Art is coming back in 2027, and we’re planning to make the trail bigger, more connected and even more exciting.

📅 4 September – 10 October 2027

In 2027, we’ll be venturing even further into the Outback, while continuing to expand across the Flinders and Southern Flinders Ranges.

Think more art, more things to see and do, more places to discover and more reasons to take the scenic route. 🚗🧭🌿

Whether you’re an artist, gallery, exhibition space, workshop provider, business, community group or town, there will be plenty of opportunities to be part of the journey.

🌟 Expressions of Interest will open in February 2027.

So, if you’ve been thinking about getting involved, now is the time to start planning!

Together, we’re building a regional arts and tourism experience that encourages visitors to Stay – Relax – Explore, discover local creativity and stories, and enjoy the wonderful country hospitality of our region.

We’re stronger together — and 2027 is going to be something special!

Whether you travelled from nearby, made a weekend of it, took a longer road trip, followed the trail from town to town, joined a workshop, visited an exhibition, bought a piece of art, stopped for a coffee or meal, explored a local business or simply enjoyed discovering somewhere new — thank you for being part of ABWA. 🌿🚗

You helped bring our towns to life.

Your visits supported artists, galleries, community groups, accommodation providers, cafés, restaurants, shops and local businesses, while helping share the stories and creativity of our region.
