🤗 Our lunch today… not always traditional Italian!

I took a quick photo before they disappeared…. Fantastic 🤩

Black spaghetti tossed with garlic prawns and vegetables in coconut milk,Thai curry and herbs… divine 😍 I love Thai food, so this recipe is 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Thai 🤗

Handmade crespella sheet rolled with sautéed spinach and fresh ricotta cheese. A spoon of Napoletana sauce and creamy béchamel.

Pillowy, delicate and soft, freshly handmade one by one. Sauces:

🌱 Sorrentina (from Sorrento city of Campania) with Napoletana sauce, basil leaves, and mozzarella. Ready to bake and melt all cheese in a gorgeous meal.

🥩 Slow cooked beef ragù, selected tomato and best quality meet. Soffritto celery, carrot, onion) and the magic happens. Just a drizzle of grated cheese on top.

🇮🇹 My beef Ossobuco 🌺

Small batches, made fresh by order, or frozen and ready to take away by appointment. A gourmet dish from my kitchen straight to your table, with passion and dedication.

Red w**e sauce, slow cooked, served with Milanese risotto (saffron) and extra sauce to finish this luscious dish. They have different sizes: big and bigger 😉

Don’t forget your “scarpetta” with a slice of bread to cancel any proof of guilt ☺️

🤔 What does traditional really mean? 🇮🇹

Traditional means a recipe, food, or method that has been passed down through generations and is connected to a particular place, culture, or local tradition.

For Italian food, traditional doesn’t mean there is only one “correct” version. It often means the recipe belongs to a specific regional tradition.

Here’s the thing: Italian traditional food is Regional. Every recipe has its own history, its own place and its own way of being made.

Carbonara? Lasagna? Gnocchi, parmigiana, risotto, ragù, crespelle, ossobuco… the list goes on.

They are ALL traditional Italian recipes, just from different parts of Italy. 🇮🇹

So please… can we stop fighting about North vs South? 😂 Italy has 20+ regions, hundreds of traditions and probably enough food arguments to last another 2,000 years!

Like a recipe? Cook it. Love it? Eat it.
If it comes from a genuine regional tradition, you’re not doing Italian food wrong. ❤️

After all, the best Italian recipe is the one that makes you say:
“Mamma mia… another plate, please!” 😋

From North to South of Italy, baked crespelle are a much-loved classic. Thin, delicate crepes filled with delicious ingredients, covered with sauce and cheese, then baked until beautifully golden. 😍

Every region has its own version, but the secret is simple: good ingredients, a little patience and knowing your way around the kitchen. 😉

And before anyone asks… no chef qualification is required for this one either! 😂👩‍🍳 only lots of time and dedication 🤗💪
Italian families have been making them for generations 😂

Mine are made from scratch, in my kitchen, the way I would make them for my family. ❤️🇮🇹

Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday!

Mid week, early start for me and my gorgeous handmade potato gnocchi… pillowy, soft, mouthwatering.

Apparently you need to be a chef to make gnocchi… 🤣👩‍🍳
Good news: you don’t!
Gnocchi is something we can all make at home, with a bit of patience, good potatoes, flour and lots of love. ❤️🥔

No fancy title required… just get your hands in the dough! 😂

And yes, mine are made by me, in my kitchen, the traditional Italian way. 🇮🇹🍝❤️
