Look how much is happening on this rug, but none of it feels crowded.

That blue is the first thing you notice: a proper, lively blue with tiny threads of lighter shades tucked inside. Then the vines come in, running straight up the rug with little blooms hanging off them.

It's the kind of rug that makes a room feel fresh without being loud or busy. Good in a lounge, great in a bedroom, and honestly hard to walk past.

Come see it in person, the blue is hard to miss.

This is the Conference of the Birds design.

An old story about birds gathering to choose their leader.

It's part of the undyed raw sheep wool collection too, so the background's completely natural. No plant dyes at all.

The colours running through it are incredible: yellows, terracotta, oranges, navy, green, even raspberry red. All of them are made from things like indigo, walnut skin, and pomegranate seeds.

And, of course, we can't forget about the tree of life.

3m x 2.5m, good for a dining table or a lounge room.

Whenever Sharif talks about the rugs at Knot n' Co, he always has specific details in mind.

He can't help himself. He'll put his hand on it, point out the tiny details most people miss, and talk about why they're important.

And for this rug, he had a lot to say.

It's warm terracotta base is the perfect colour for a well-lit room. It'll draw your attention from the moment you walk inside.

Swipe through to see more of the detail Sharif points out. You'll spot things you'd never catch from across the room.

"Look at this pictorial... a one-of-a-kind piece."

As usual, Sharif is absolutely right. This one is special.

Culturally, it's beautiful.

Geometric tribal motifs run right through the border. But, what's truly special are the animal figurines: not goats or deer, they're ancient camels.

Olive, red, blue, navy, all woven in against a taupe background that's completely undyed, just raw sheep's wool.

That background's also why it works almost anywhere. Earthy enough to sit well in most interiors.

Sharif's been standing in front of this one for a while now, and honestly, we don't blame him.

That teal is the kind of colour that changes a room the second it's laid down. It's what he calls a happy rug, one of those pieces that brings a bit of calm into a home while still getting a "wow" out of anyone who walks in.

Swipe across to see Francis take a seat in front of it. She's got plenty to say about what's going on in that pattern, and it's worth hearing her out.

Two artisans, about five months, and a lot of stubbornness to get the colours right.

This beautiful design is inspired by what they'd see looking out over a dry orchard.

The trees may look like pine trees, but they're actually an ancient dried-fruit tree native to Afghanistan. There are little goats and animals scattered through it too, if you look closely.

A cream fawn background brightens up pretty much any room.

At 2.5m wide, this one is perfect for a dining table.

Another rare rug, and one of those extremely beautiful pieces you can't look away from.

Olive green ground, and trees running through it the way they'd actually bloom in central Afghanistan come spring.

Little hints of pink, raspberry red... even some rare touches of brown have been worked into this piece.

The border's worth a proper look too, trees and plants in peach and green, with a thin line of terracotta and the faintest pink running through it.

Finished with the Ariana tassels, matched by hand to the rug's exact colours.

That's part of why a piece like this takes around 6 months to make.

We searched all of Afghanistan for pink rugs.

Two turned up. Six months of waiting for this one to land, and it was worth it.

This is the Sultani Chobi in the pomegranate design.

With beautiful greens running through the border, pomegranates through the centre, and hints of turquoise worked in, it's definitely a stand out piece.

The best part is: that pink base isn't even one colour. It shifts from warm to baby pink depending on which way you're looking at it.

If you've been after a proper pink piece, this is the one. Trust us, it won't last long.

"She's heavy," Sharif says, picking it up. "That's the intricate weave for you."

And you can see just how intricate it is. Look at how detailed and tightly woven the threads on this Coral Pink Chobi are.

Sharif doesn't say this often, but this might be one of his favourite rugs to ever come through the showroom. It's the kind of style that will work with almost any interior.

Which is exactly why he reckons it won't make it past the weekend.

Good news either way. We do custom orders on this one too, just budget 5 to 6 months for it to be made. A bit of a wait, but it's the kind of rug that lasts a lifetime.

Approximately 360 x 270cm. Come see Sharif's favourite for yourself, while it's still here.

This rug emulates the ancient Persian story of the Conference of the Birds.

A famous story taught by the poet Attar, and it's all about birds coming together to choose a leader.

Every artisan who weaves it gets to decide the ending: how many birds, and which one wears the crown. No one else's rug could tell this story quite the same way.

"It's woven storytelling on your floor," Sharif is certainly right about that.

Approximately 240 x 170cm.

Come visit us and listen to the whole story in person.
