In the Evolve Stone workshop, stone slabs are cut on a CNC bridge saw with a continuous water feed running directly onto the blade and the cutting line, not just cooling it from above.

That constant flow keeps the cutting interface from overheating, which is what prevents thermal shock and micro-cracking along the cut line, the kind of damage that can show up later as a defect in a finished piece.

This coffee table was made for Fantales, a design collaboration between Laminex and YSG Studio. The top is a two-colour lamination: the whole surface was laminated in Laminex Pillarbox first, then the centre was routed out and a separately cut piece of Laminex Kalamata glued precisely into that opening. The base is Tasmanian oak veneer over a shaped MDF frame, with solid oak legs.

For a two-tone laminate piece like this, that inlay sequence is what keeps the border line continuous and crisp all the way around.

At our Kyneton workshop, joinery panels go through CNC machining in a single setup: cut, grooved and drilled for hardware all in one pass, rather than moved between separate machines for each step.

That accuracy carries into the next stage, handling, assembly and install, all done in-house by Evolve’s own team, so there’s less chance for an error to carry through from machining to the finished piece.

Hermon’s kitchen runs on a deliberate colour and material brief, a nuanced depiction of the Australian landscape, with the room set up as the home’s focal point.

The joinery carries that colour through in a rich, saturated palette, finished with an avocado resin benchtop, while a separate ground-back coloured bench shows the same craft in a different material.

The same striking colour-blocking runs through the rest of the house, so this kitchen is one room in a much larger material language.

Before/After: The Evolve team built this meeting table for the Laminex x Kennedy Nolan Workplace collaboration.

The tabletop is a skeleton of MDF ribs, half-overlapped at the centre for strength, encased in bending plywood. Its curve was tighter than the plywood's rated radius, so the ply was wet, ironed and steamed to take the shape before the piece was laminated in Laminex Enamel and Pillarbox, legs first, then the flat ends, then the tabletop, so the joins disappear.

Manning Rd, Malvern East: a finalist for Best Bathroom Renovation at the 2026 ACFA Industry Awards.

The brief brought together a bookmatched marble vanity top and splashback, a floating oak vanity, an arched marble door surround and a checkerboard marble floor in one room. What a renovation award actually judges is whether all of that reads as one coordinated fitout rather than separately sourced finishes, and that’s the standard this bathroom was built to.
