Thank you to James Pyne Photography for capturing such special photos of my flowers at The Frankston Business Chamber Expo last week ☺️

CEO Bernadine Geary and the whole board of the FBC did an amazing effort bring this to life 🎉

Where do you go when you need flowers *right now*?

If your answer isn’t “the Flowers for Jane stand,” let us fix that.

Our self-serve flower stand is open seven days a week, daylight hours, no appointment, no fuss. Just drive straight down the driveway and right up to the studio door.

Here’s how it works:
🌸 Pick your bunch — hessian-wrapped in a few different colourways
🌸 Pop over the QR code and pay in seconds
🌸 Every bunch comes wet packed and ready to go, plus a complimentary gift card
🌸 Grab it and go, no need to even get the kids out of the car if you don’t want to

Perfect for the “I need flowers in the next ten minutes” moments. Frankston City locals, this one’s for you.

People often ask me why their vase from Flowers for Jane never looks quite the same twice. Honest answer? That’s exactly how I like it.

I don’t work off a fixed recipe or stem count. Every vase is built around the wholesale budget I put into it and around your budget, not a formula. That’s the Flowers for Jane way, and it’s what keeps things seasonal and a little different every time.

If I score a great deal on blooms at the market, you get a fuller vase for the same price. That’s just how it works when I’m the one doing the buying for Flowers for Jane.

This way of working has actually helped keep prices affordable and pretty similar over the last few years, even as costs have gone up elsewhere. Building around budget rather than a fixed formula means we can absorb the ups and downs of the market instead of passing them straight on to you.

Every vase from Flowers for Jane gets two or more types of foliage, because one variety on its own never gives you the texture I’m after. Then I layer in focal flowers like roses, disbuds, carnations, ornamental kale or gerberas, with fillers like chrysanthemums, hypericum berries, alstroemeria, snapdragons or stock rounding it out.

I’ve been in floristry since 1997, so picking the good stuff at the market is second nature to me and it’s part of what makes Flowers for Jane, Flowers for Jane.

If you’re after a local florist that offers flower delivery all over Frankston City and Langwarrin, who builds seasonal, budget-based vases instead of sticking to a fixed arrangement, that’s exactly what you’ll find at Flowers for Jane.

Windy morning at the workbench 🌬️

Today the flower stand’s moved just inside the studio door at Flowers for Jane.
Not because we’re precious, wind is brutal on fresh flowers. It doesn’t just bash the blooms around, it dehydrates them fast, even with their little feet sitting in water.

So the girls are just a step inside today, still self-serve, still hessian-wrapped, just out of the gusts.

Pop by 8 Altarnun Road, Langwarrin and grab yours, you can still pull right up to the door.

Big week behind the scenes — and it started before the week even did.

Last weekend, I kicked things off with a retreat to Hepburn Springs with Me Treat Retreats — a proper reset before diving into it all.

We were at the Frankston Business Chamber Expo, meeting the local business owners who make this city tick. We networked with the brilliant women at Brava Women in Business, talking flowers and swapping stories. And in between, we were all over Langwarrin and Frankston City delivering flowers — because somewhere out there, there was a Jane that needed to know she was thought of.

We also ran our Bloom & Style class, which is a monthly class. It was full of new and familiar faces, where we had a couple of hours of flower arranging. This month, we learned how to make a hanging installation. Everyone went home with a mini hanging installation, but we also discussed how to create this on a larger scale and the mechanics involved.

Whatever the week looked like, it always comes back to the same thing: Jane deserves flowers.

This week we had the pleasure of being invited to Flying Fox for two evenings of posy-making at St Kilda, Tuesday with the under 18s and Wednesday with the adults.

Both sessions were part of Flying Fox’s weekly Hangouts, their regular community activities that build lasting friendships and social connection for young people with disability. Two totally different groups, same amount of fun.
The beautiful thing is flowers don’t need explaining. You smell them, you touch them, you look at the colours sitting in your hands. Every sense gets a go, no matter how you take the world in. That’s what made both sessions so good to be part of.
It’s a mission close to our hearts too. Our own Community Posy Project runs on the same idea, bringing people together to make and share flowers, because connection matters as much as the finished bunch.
Thank you to Flying Fox for having us out.

Who is Jane?
Jane loves flowers that don't quit on her. She's also the person on the other end of the delivery, the one you're sending flowers to because you can't be there yourself.
Our Australian native blooms and their South African cousins are naturally hardy and resilient, holding their form and character for days longer than the delicate stuff. A little wild, a little rugged, and a lot like the Aussie bush they come from.
If you want flowers that last, native is the answer. Bouquets from $55. Order online or give us a call — our convenient same-day delivery service in Langwarrin and the Frankston area is perfect for when you can't be there in person.
