Every project I take on at The Space Project Co. is rooted in stories my own and those of the families I serve. Growing up in a Peruvian, Latin American home, our living room was always alive with colour, laughter, and the gentle chaos of shared moments. That sense of belonging is what I aim to recreate for every client: spaces that feel soulful, layered, and genuinely lived-in.

When we sit together, sometimes with a mug of tea and old photo albums, we’re not just choosing tiles or paint. We're uncovering what home truly means to you and translating that into a design you can see, touch, and feel.

The thing I tell every colour consultant client on day one: you're not bad at choosing. You've just been doing it alone.

Colour isn't about finding the "right" white. It's about knowing what you want a room to feel like at 7 a.m. on a Tuesday, at 9 p.m. on a Sunday, and on every grey day in between.

That's the question I ask before I ever open a paint deck. Once you can answer it, the swatches sort themselves.

Some kitchens whisper 'Hamptons'. Some bathrooms shout 'coastal'. Some rooms don't say anything at all.

The most beautiful spaces, I think, tell a story.

I grew up in Pisco, on the coast of Peru. Whitewashed walls, terracotta tile, Pacific light, and a kitchen that smelled like Sunday. It's also where, years later, I met my husband. He's Australian. I'm Peruvian.

We moved together to Cusco, high in the Andes, ancient and grounded, and that's where our family began.

When I was 35, we packed our life into 10 suitcases and moved here with our three children.

Settling into our Geelong home meant learning to hold all of it: the Pisco of my childhood, the Cusco of our beginning, and the Australia we were arriving into.

What I didn't realise back then was that my clients would, years later, start asking me for the very things I'd grown up with inside.

Warm. Grounded. A kitchen that feels like the heart. Earthy, but not boring.

They were asking, without knowing it, for the whitewashed walls, the terracotta tile, the slow-Sunday kitchens, and the centuries-old stone.

They were asking for spaces with a soul.

This is what I mean when I say, 'soulful homes that finally feel like you'. It's not a tagline. It's a way of designing your kitchen, your bathroom, and your living spaces based on actually having made a home feel like mine twice, in two countries, with three children watching.

This is the work I love most. I love bringing all the pieces together so that nothing jars, nothing feels like a guess, and the home feels like it was always meant to look this way.
