We will be closed on the Monday Recreation Day public holiday to rearrange the shop. But open this weekend as usual.

Occasionally we are fortunate enough to acquire lifelong collections from well travelled souls…
Lately there have been a few wanting to pass on their wonderful pieces and we are pretty pleased that now you (and ourselves!) can get to enjoy them too.
Khmer Pottery, Afghan Kuchi Jewellery, Pakistani trunks, Cambodian silver, Persian rugs, Moroccan ceramics.
So much to choose from.

We have secured some stunning new linen clothing labels for the next season…. It is starting to arrive!
The remaining winter coats and preloved woollen jumpers are now all half price, we may still get some cold weather after this strangely mild winter?

There have been some comments recently about the changes in store….that we are no longer just an antique and vintage clothing seller. The business we started 12 years ago has seen many evolutions and access to reasonably priced antiques and vintage has certainly changed over this time.
We will carry on evolving as we continue to explore ways to bring you great stuff and great service!
I will never stop believing that every home could live with antiques…and perhaps a candle or two, some great coffee table books or amazing linen teatowels….I do hope you agree? ❤️❤️

I love the bones of this old building..the high ceilings lined with boards…the old window that has lost its weights and needs to be propped open in summer….the gorgeous front windows that flood this space with the most beautiful light..all year round. Today the open fire misbehaved with an abrupt change in wind direction which happens occasionally at this time of the year. The shop soon filled with smoke but I can forgive it even that. After all this chimney has been doing its thing for the last 150 years or so!
As we near the end of another winter and the start of spring there has been plenty of behind the scenes sourcing of new linens from Europe, new pottery collections, exciting handcrafted jewellery and so much more to come.
We are excited to share it all with you!

Another busy start to the week so far! I will be busy unpacking the latest French soap delivery..honey and lemons back in the shop. A few beautiful linen covered notebooks now in store as well…but only a few…these were hard to get.
