Just one small stall holder saying a big thank you to all the locals and visitors that came out this morning to check out and support the Charters Towers QCWA Markets and support our local QCWA Branch.

I just sat down for lunch at 1:15pm. The last of the pumpkin scones are in the oven. All my baking just needs to cool. Tomorrow’s QCWA Makets I will be bringing some fresh baked pumpkin scones, Moroccan orange cake and Honey coconut cake with a caramel icing. Plus cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins both J*p and Butternut, limes, lemons, cordial, jams and relishes.

This Sunday October 18th, I will be at the Charters Towers QCWA Markets.
The cucumbers and zucchini are lovely at this time of the year. I have an order for pumpkin scones so I will make a few extra for the markets. Tomorrow I will post what I will be bringing so just follow for updates. If you are looking for something specific just message me.

Friday afternoon I went into the garden to pick a few cucumbers. I am sure my bees are pollinating every single flower. Good thing my patch is small. I do sell them at $5/kg which is on average 2 to 4 cucumbers depending on the size. Lebanese and Green Gem.

Today I made sauerkraut or should I say I started the sauerkraut, it just needs to ferment for the next 3 weeks. It will be interesting keeping the temperature between 18 and 21 degrees.
