On Thursday we said goodbye to my beautiful Mum. She fought with a fierce determination to the very end and we take solace in knowing she’s with Dad now.
Her funeral details are listed below and appreciate anyone that would like to attend.

Today we close The Crafty Hive for the final time and say farewell to a 9 year whirlwind adventure.

For me it’ll be very bittersweet.

I’m sad to say goodbye to the incredible community that has embraced our family from day one. Many customers have become dear friends and I will greatly appreciate their love and support especially over the last few years.

I’m sad to say goodbye to our amazing staff Wendy, Josie, Megan, Birgit and Janine. I know I couldn’t have gotten through the last few years without them and all their hard work.

On the other hand I’m also relieved for Mum to be able to retire and focus solely on a healthy future. Running a small business particularly through a global pandemic and the family heartbreak we have endured, hasn’t been easy or without stress. Mum has shown just how incredibly strong and resilient she is through it all and I couldn’t be more proud.

Tomorrow we start a new chapter in our lives and will look back fondly on the memories created at The Crafty Hive.

I will be forever grateful for everything I’ve learnt especially these past few years, they have made me a stronger, more confident person and crafter.

It is with absolute heartbreak that we announce the closure of The Crafty Hive

As many know, we lost David to Pancreatic Cancer in 2022 and less than 18 months after his passing I have been diagnosed with cancer myself.

It has been an incredibly difficult and challenging time for our family and while we have persevered through the storm, we need to focus on the next chapter of our lives.

I am determined to fight this awful disease and look forward to a future with my family.

We would like to thank our amazing staff; Wendy, Josie and Megan for all their love and support over the last 9 years. We wouldn’t have been able to do anything without them.

We would also like to thank the amazing Crafty Hive community that have supported us over the last 9 years. Your support has meant the world to us and we have loved being a part of your crafting journey.

The Crafty Hive will close it’s doors on April 13th 2024
