Finished this afternoon. I loved it as an all gold mandala and I love it even more with all those jewel colours and added pizazz of some variegated gold leaf.
The original gold one was on a 40cm round board and the one with colours is slightly larger at 50cms.

I decided to start this dot mandala by painting every element using gold. My original plan was to add colour over the top, specifically I wanted to use jewel tones of ruby red, royal purple and blues.
However, I loved the gold so much that I have decided to leave this one just as it is.
I will do another one and add the colour to that! Yes, I’m a bit crazy….🤣🤣🤣

All the gold is done using Amsterdam Deep Gold, using dotting tools, brushes and cones.

Just a little something to whet your appetite…
A shell I’m working on currently. I painted it using paint leftover from my last project and then decided to add some bling so I just started and then couldn’t stop! So it’s lots of dots but they are all glued on right now.
Next time you see it, there will be lots of painted dots too.
Do you love sparkles and bling as much as I do?

My Valentine’s Day artwork is complete. I love the way this one came out and am enjoying adding crystals to my art.

It’s taken weeks to paint this box because there is so much dimensional work that needed to dry on each side, plus I ran out of the gold outline paint and had to wait til I got another order in 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
This is a second box to store more Nuvo Drops, Bliss Drops, Liquid Pearl paints etc in. It’s actually a repurposed essential oil box! ( 37cm x 20cm x 12cm deep)
Not varnished yet and of course, no hardware on it either but it’s so much easier to photograph when it’s not shiny!
For those who want to know…I used Pebeo moon paints for the swirly sections, Decola outliner in Gold for the puffy lines and a variety of paint brands for the rest.

Good morning, my dotting friends! I bought these cute pedestal tea light holders from Etsy and spent a little time decorating them over the weekend. These are my favourite colours and I can’t wait to use them.
I also had some fun changing backgrounds using PhotoRoom app. I am only using the free features at the moment.

I think I have reached ornament overload…this is (probably) my last Christmas piece for this year. I basepainted a round canvas and then painted the Merry Christmas lettering, then I took some of the plywood bauble shapes I have been dotting and glued them on to form a wreath. I also added some crystals and rhinestones to bling it up even more. I’m so happy with how it’s come out!

I have been working on a whole slew more of these small plywood ornaments. I should have taken a pic before I varnished as they are so shiny now! I hope you can see enough to get the idea. These ones will be strung onto a ribbon and hung across our archway between dining and lounge room. When I have done that, I will take more photos.
So…presenting the latest batch of painted and dotted decorations, some of which also have crystals and beads glued to them…( photos of both sides)

Finished, aside from varnishing.
Metal star shape I purchased many years ago, it’s about 45cms across. The holly I glued into the centre comes from Temu, with some glitter paint added in top. I’m really happy with this one!
