One of the joys of working with people’s precious things is finding hidden treasures from the past.

When a lovely customer brought in a piece of his family history the other day asking to have it cleaned and re-sealed, we were all delighted to find a layer of Christmas wrapping paper that our customer’s grandmother had used to cover the back of the frame over 85 years ago.

We have saved some of the paper to laminate and stick on the back of the piece when it’s finished as a reminder of this special moment in time.

Gil, Gavin and Jodi attended the Glassies Awards presentation on Tuesday night. 🏆

We were nominated for an award in the Small Business Category. We didn’t win but we loved seeing other small businesses recognised for their achievements.

We are so proud of our good friends and fellow Maleny business owners Get Active Fitness and Personal Training, The Joy Collective and Col Finley’s Country Stars Australia for taking home their very well-deserved awards.

We DID make it into Andrew Powell’s group selfie. If you squint hard enough in the last pic, you might just see us! 😆

We recently framed these works on paper which were done by a lovely customer’s mum when she lived in Papua New Guinea many years ago.

They were all slightly different sizes and had to go in a very specific space in the house, and Gil did an amazing job of making them all fit perfectly.

When she saw the finished product, the artist said that she is very proud to have her work hanging on the wall and that she thinks the thing that makes them look so good is the frames.

We love seeing our finished work in people’s homes! 😃

Thank you Annalisa for bringing your mum Janetta’s beautiful pieces in. We are so happy she loves them so much. ❤️

Here’s a cute way to frame a group of prints.

We used the same moulding in four different colours, playing off the colours in each work.
