🌺The life cycle of paper daisy flowers🌺

Since starting my flower growing journey, I have fallen in love with everlasting Paper Daisies and Straw Flowers.
The native pink and white blooms of the paper daisies and bright colourful straw flower have the crispiest texture and add pops of colour to arrangements💐
They can be used as fresh florals or dried for future use.

Patch tip of the week 🪏🌱💐

Rake 1- Jac 0

Let’s talk about patch safety and how the cartoon version of standing on a rake is 100% accurate🤦🏻‍♀️🤕

Note to self….. if leaning a rake upright against a planter box , remember your safe work practices. Then ensure said rake is around the correct way so it can’t splat you in the face when you step on it .
Insert face wacked with a Cyclone brand ( damn thick handles) rake emoji🫣

This is why you shouldn’t work on Sunday’s
Lucky the blooms are worth it😜

I take so many pics in Our Patch of all the beautiful blooms, bugs, birds, bees and frogs that I often hear David Attenborough in my head - that also could be cos I’m a bit 🤪 🤷🏻‍♀️
I try my best to capture the way delicate spider webs cling to everything making the morning dew sparkle or the simple beauty of the sun rising and setting, but like the flower gig- I have no idea what I’m doing. Thank goodness for phones with cameras 📸
Our Patch is much more than flowers.
It’s our happy place. Listening to the magpies and Black cockatoos sing their morning melody and watching the patch come to life is a blessing and I will always be full of gratitude🙌💐🐝
