🇦🇺Australian Made Week 18-24 May 2026 🇦🇺
A message from the boss:
As a small business owner and maker of many things but predominantly sewing, the wife of a food producer/caterer and as the owner of two non-for-profit stores that passionately helps to support other makers, artists, growers and producers that are not only Australian made but made right in our local community, Australian Made Week should be every single week in my opinion. I understand there needs to be a targeted campaign for marketing purposes, blah, blah, blah, however, now more than ever we must buy locally made. Your purchase from our makers helps provide much needed extra income which in turn supports our local economy, it ensures retail remains alive, it’s more sustainable as the products are of high quality and potentially most importantly provides joy and a sense of purpose to those skilful makers and hardworking producers.
So, please buy locally made goods whenever you can - your purchase makes a huge impact on a local person’s life and our community!
Also, I think it’s ridiculously unfair small businesses should have to pay hundreds of dollars a year to be able to use the Australian Made logo on their Australian made products but that’s a rant for another day.
