Custom cabinetry is never a bad idea.

At Bloomfield House, the under-stairs space was an untidy drop zone, with shoes, bags and umbrellas always on display. I designed some tall cabinetry to house coats, sports/gym gear and grab-and-go items, and a bench topped with stone with drawers for shoe storage. Now the space is sleek, organised, and feels much larger.

To create the arched bar cabinet, we ripped out a cupboard that was just collecting junk and replaced it with something beautiful, useful, and a whole lot fancier. A stone benchtop, splashback and shelves will be installed this week - can’t wait!

When the design direction is clear and the initial concept is strong, nothing much needs to change. At Bowen House, the palette and key pieces were all locked in early.

The one upgrade was the lamp — it added soft layered light and just the right touch of playfulness to this family living room.

This dining space was cramped, visually heavy and not really working for a family of four.

The table was pushed hard against the wall, with bench seats doing their best… but the layout needed a proper rethink.

I designed a custom corner banquette to make better use of the space, creating practical seating that looked good while turning the dining area into something more considered and resolved.

The render was the roadmap. The real thing is better… as it should be.

WFH isn’t going anywhere… you deserve a dedicated space that’s not the dining table.

This front room started as a fancy-but-flat sitting room, became a practical-but-not-very-joyful office, and finally landed here: a workspace that feels productive, calm and like somewhere you’d actually enjoy spending time.

A full-colour, full-sensory deep dive into pattern, tile, texture, mint tea, market chaos, and traffic rules that seemed interpretive at best.

Before and after at Bowen House.

Before, the furniture was taking up too much space - physically and visually. The sofas overwhelmed the room, and with nearly everything boxy or rectangular-shaped, the space felt crowded and heavy.

We kept the layout largely unchanged, introducing curves, a softer palette and pieces with a lighter visual footprint. The result is a room that feels bigger, calmer and far more inviting.

Same room, very different energy.
