I feel very lucky to have the Hello Friend Fabric girls and some of their artists as very good friends! I am excited to attend their first ever art exhibition at the amazing Green Space in Mentone. I just might be doing some sewing demos and answering sewing questions as well as sharing my fav tips, techniques and tools! Would love to meet you there!!

This size 6-7 jumper is made using Huckleberry Digital cute dinosaurs!! Zoe, the designer behind Huckleberry Digital is absolutely lovely and she's having a birthday celebration where this jumper will be balloted as well as lots of other fun things! Congratulations Zoe!

Sometimes when I'm sewing I make up little stories to go along with pieces:

It's the late 80's, Friday lunch time on the primary school monkey bars.

Kid A: What are you wearing to the disco tonight?

Kid B: A tracksuit!

Kid A: Whaaat? You can't wear a tracksuit to a DISCO! I'm wearing my new rara skirt from Fossey's.

Kid B: You haven't seen MY tracksuit!

Made for play, dancing, skating, climbing and more! Won't pill or fade like Fossey's 😆😆😆

My hand drawn 'Cow's in the Meadow' design has been by far the most popular fabric I've ever used and your feedback and encouragement has given me the push I needed to make my goal for 2023 to use my own designs exclusively. At the core of my design philosophy is the celebration of imagination and individuality, so it makes sense that I should focus on making clothes with my unique art. Thank you for giving me the courage to take this step and I can't wait to share more of my work this year! 2023, the year to be brave!

This pattern was inspired by the way kids walk; never in a straight line, always dancing, taking detours and noticing little things we task-focused adults often don't. It's called 'Treasure Walk'
