I'm used to playing bobbin chicken, but this is the first time I've played batting chicken. I've had a few people ask what's the biggest size quilt that I can handle with my frame, and I said that I was guessing it would be about 100". At just under 99" square, my client has definitely tested that theory.

This quilt was completed with an edge-to-edge design using the pattern Paisley Teardrops by Timeless Quilting Designs. I went with this design because it needed to be a fun paisley pattern, but different to the last quilt finished for this person, and this one perfectly fits her aesthetic. A variegated purple thread was used.

This quilt was completed with an edge-to-edge design using the pattern Lakeridge's Sweet Treats by Kimberly Dewling. A variegated pink thread was used. I chose this design because I wanted something that would be playful enough for a ten year old girl to enjoy now, that could gracefully age with her into adolescence, and what teenager doesn't like cupcakes?

The brief for this quilt was to choose a pantograph that wasn't feminine, and I thought the interplay between square and round geometry would suit the intended recipient. It is a sweet quilt, and I wanted to choose a sweet design that wouldn't conflict with any of the many fabrics used. A red thread was used. I wanted to connect the quilting design to the cute May Gibbs print used in the centre of the blocks. An ivory thread was used. Hi everyone. Just a quick update since I missed all of the meetings in the past month. I'm back on my feet quilting again after moving house, breaking my toe, and nursing a surprising number of people post surgery. Thanks to everyone for your support over the last few months of what has felt like pure drama. I'm hoping to get back to regular pretty quilt photos soon.

This was my entry for the Waverley Patchworkers quilt show held this month. It is a queen size quilt, stitched with red thread on the white fabric and white thread on the red fabric. Each block is quilted with a different design, which makes it such a fun quilt to explore for my kids. I called it "Red and White Pantograph Sampler" but I should have called it "Raiding the Urban Elementz Catalogue".

This was my challenge entry for the Waverley Patchworkers Quilt Show held earlier this month. The challenge theme was "anything goes with a touch of the blues", with a size limit of an A3 piece of paper. I did consider sewing this one as a quilt as you go project, but I've been wanting to use Redwing by Patricia E. Ritter for a while now, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Stitched with a variegated blue thread.

I have two quilts on display this year: a custom quilted behemoth, and a challenge quilt that seemed delightfully small in comparison. I'll post photos after the show has finished.

This quilt was stitched with Pink Paisley by Patricia E. Ritter in variegated purple thread. I chose this design to tie in with the paisley print of the focus fabric and draw it into the plain blocks.
