With town planning approval now complete, this proposed GP clinic and chemist refurbishment is moving into its final detailed design phase.

The project will transform an existing tenancy into a purpose-designed healthcare environment, bringing new life to a building that was previously unsuitable for medical use.

With an irregular footprint, sharp geometry, and a poor existing condition, the design response focuses on creating a functional, compliant, and welcoming space for patients, staff, and the wider community.

Natural, warm, and inviting tones will help soften the building’s angular form and support a more calming healthcare experience.

A great example of adaptive reuse, reimagining an existing building into a high-quality medical facility through thoughtful planning, design, and attention to detail.

We’re excited to share a look inside our completed project for Light Radiology in Findon, SA.

This video showcases the finished radiology practice, featuring 1 MRI suite, a CT suite, X-ray / OPG, and 5 ultrasound rooms.

Designed and delivered to create a functional, welcoming and professional healthcare environment for both patients and staff.

Salone del Mobile 2026 and the future of healthcare design

This year, Salone del Mobile showed that design is moving beyond furniture and finishes. It is becoming more about experience, emotion and how people feel within a space.

For healthcare design, this is especially relevant.

The future of healthcare environments is not just clinical or functional. It is calmer, more sensory, more human and more supportive of the people who use them.

From layered materials and sculptural forms to light, scent and clearer spatial journeys, Salone reinforced the importance of designing spaces that support comfort, orientation and emotional wellbeing.

Healthcare design has a real opportunity to create environments that don’t just work well, but feel better to be in.

Sneak Peek | Design in Progress

We’re excited to share a first look at the initial round of renders for an upcoming specialist children’s psychology project, currently in the design phase.

These early concepts give a glimpse into the direction we’re exploring, but as with all our projects, the journey doesn’t stop here. As we move through the design phase, we work closely with our clients to refine every detail, ensuring the final space truly supports both practitioners and young patients.

Because of this collaborative process, the finished environment often evolves from where the design first begins and that’s where the real magic happens.

Project Spotlight | Heide Clinic, Heidelberg

Calibre Healthcare Interiors is proud to unveil our recently completed Women’s Health Clinic in Heidelberg a warm, contemporary environment designed to enhance comfort, clarity, and the holistic patient journey.

Featuring soft materiality, organic textures and refined detailing, the clinic supports both wellbeing and seamless practitioner workflow.

Overcoming significant structural challenges, including re-levelling the rear carpark and removing major internal walls, our team delivered a thoughtfully resolved layout that brings together efficient circulation, spatial harmony, and a calming patient experience.

Construction is officially underway at Drysdale Clinic

This project marks an exciting transformation. A complete internal demolition and re-design, while maintaining the existing external façade.

The upgraded clinic will expand from 10 to 14 consult rooms, introduce two dedicated pathology rooms, enhanced staff amenities, additional toilets, increased waiting capacity, a dedicated sterilisation and storage area, and extra bays in the treatment zone.

Given the scale of the works, we’ve adopted a two-stage construction approach. Allowing our client to remain fully operational throughout the renovation. Each phase ensures half of the practice stays open, minimising disruption and maintaining continuity of care.

Here’s a sneak peek at the renders showing what you can expect once the site is complete. We’re thrilled to see this project moving forward and can’t wait to share more as it takes shape on site.
