A closer look at the completed Drysdale Clinic.

This project was about more than just increasing capacity; the focus was on creating a healthcare environment that feels considered, efficient, and better equipped to support the clinic's daily operations.

From the expanded consult and treatment spaces to improved patient waiting areas, staff amenities, and clinical support zones, every part of the refurbishment was carefully planned around functionality and flow.

Delivering the project in stages meant the clinic could continue operating throughout construction, maintaining continuity for patients and staff.

We’re excited to share the completed transformation of Drysdale Clinic ✨

Following a complete internal demolition and redesign, the clinic has been transformed into a larger, more functional healthcare environment while retaining its existing external façade.

The completed practice has expanded from 10 to 14 consult rooms, with two dedicated pathology rooms, improved staff amenities, additional toilets, increased waiting capacity, dedicated sterilisation and storage areas, and additional treatment bays.

A key challenge was delivering such a significant refurbishment while keeping the clinic fully operational. Through a carefully planned two-stage construction approach, half of the practice remained open throughout the works, helping minimise disruption for both patients and staff.

A fantastic result for the Drysdale Clinic team, and a project we’re incredibly proud to have delivered.

This video captures the finished space in motion, highlighting the flow between rooms, the layered material details and the overall atmosphere created throughout the practice.

Seeing the project come together from this perspective offers a different appreciation of the design. How each space connects, how the finishes respond to light and how the environment feels as a whole.

Introducing The Colour Index: V1 🎨

Written by one of our own, Emma Torcaso, this new series explores the role colour can play in shaping thoughtful, cohesive and engaging healthcare environments.

The first edition features Vistoris Lake, Lincoln Green, Pale Lemon Yellow and Cobalt Green, layered with tactile finishes and warm natural materials to create depth, balance and quiet variation.

With town planning approval now complete, this proposed GP clinic and chemist refurbishment is moving into its final detailed design phase.

The project will transform an existing tenancy into a purpose-designed healthcare environment, bringing new life to a building that was previously unsuitable for medical use.

With an irregular footprint, sharp geometry, and a poor existing condition, the design response focuses on creating a functional, compliant, and welcoming space for patients, staff, and the wider community.

Natural, warm, and inviting tones will help soften the building’s angular form and support a more calming healthcare experience.

A great example of adaptive reuse, reimagining an existing building into a high-quality medical facility through thoughtful planning, design, and attention to detail.

We’re excited to share a look inside our completed project for Light Radiology in Findon, SA.

This video showcases the finished radiology practice, featuring 1 MRI suite, a CT suite, X-ray / OPG, and 5 ultrasound rooms.

Designed and delivered to create a functional, welcoming and professional healthcare environment for both patients and staff.

Salone del Mobile 2026 and the future of healthcare design

This year, Salone del Mobile showed that design is moving beyond furniture and finishes. It is becoming more about experience, emotion and how people feel within a space.

For healthcare design, this is especially relevant.

The future of healthcare environments is not just clinical or functional. It is calmer, more sensory, more human and more supportive of the people who use them.

From layered materials and sculptural forms to light, scent and clearer spatial journeys, Salone reinforced the importance of designing spaces that support comfort, orientation and emotional wellbeing.

Healthcare design has a real opportunity to create environments that don’t just work well, but feel better to be in.
