The Beginning of Us is such a great addition to the Wattle Junction series! I loved getting to know Jessica Sonoto and Teddy James better and seeing their story unfold. Jessica is such a strong and relatable character, and Teddy completely won me over as the book went on. Their chemistry was amazing, and I found myself rooting for them from the very beginning. It was also great to catch up with familiar faces from the previous books and spend more time in Wattle Junction. Emma Mugglestone has done another fantastic job creating a story that is funny, emotional, and impossible to put down. Definitely one of my favourites in the series so far!

This was a fun twist on the small-town cowboy romance. I loved the bourbon setting instead of the usual farm/ranch vibe — it made it feel a bit different.
The chemistry was fun and I really liked the mix of romance and crime/thriller elements. Some parts were pretty predictable, but that’s kind of part of the charm with small-town romances. Overall just a fun read.

Dungeon Crawler Carl is what happens if a reality TV show, a video game, and pure chaos had a baby—and then gave it a talking cat with attitude.

It’s fast, funny, and completely unhinged in the best way. I came for the chaos, stayed for Carl, and would absolutely die for Donut.
5 stars. Zero regrets.

Wrecked me in the best way. Johnny and Shannon’s story left of from Binding 13 so well with a decent amount of raw and emotional—I laughed, I rooted for them the whole time. It’s a chunky book, which made it hard to think about getting through at times, but honestly, I didn’t want it to end. Total comfort read with all the feels.

Just Friends by Haley Pham is a pretty easy, quick read. It’s got a second chance romance vibe. I enjoyed this as the storyline wasn't heavy, the characters were life like but light. However, the writing was a bit too whimsical at times and I got a bit bored or found myself skipping some longer and too detailed sentences.The characters are fun, but they don’t always feel super deep, and some parts of the story move a bit too fast. I really enjoyed how grief is depicted and written, it felt clear linked to an event that wasn't overly dramatic giving it a real life factor rather than an over dramatic reason to feel grief. Overall, it’s a good casual read.
