Yesterday I broke out if the baby bubble and went to a class with a few wonderful friends at and I had the best time!! I really like colourwork but like most my knitted skills ive learned from reading patterns and guessing, and is so great to learn new skills from someone who knows what they are doing and teaches so clearly!! (And can demonstrate how to hold your yarn three different ways to avoid tangling the two colours!) Pics are of my sample which I steeked in class and will keep forever, the pic of the two knitted tubes together is to show how crazy tight my tension was yesterday compared to Haha.

Now that the making is done and our little bunny has joined us i'm going to have a bit of a break. (To be fair i've been unwell and not posting much while working on our little project)

I hope to be back soon and up to mischief in the dye pots and coming up with more yarn joy. In the mean time here's some pics of a few things I (and others) have made for our little girl who has arrived happy and healthy!!

We are all being well looked after by family and friends

I made the pumpkin hat, the pink bonnet, the African flowers crochet blanket and the burgundy purple chevron blanket (purple is by the wonderful )

Sheepie socks and white bunny lovey were gifts:)

What a weekend at !! Thank you so much to everyone who came and looked at my yarn, had a chat or took home a treasure or two. It was a wonderful weekend and while im exhausted, my heart is very full. Thanks especially to my incredible helpers and the other vendors for keeping the mood high all weekend. Final thank you to the baby animals.

Day one of the amazing and I meant to post pics this morning, but I've been busy all day!!

What a day. It's lovely to see so many smiling faces and fabulous creations!!

Im trying to have a quieter show this year and try and sit down more as Mr Whiterabbit and I await the arrival of our little bunny in October, but it's hard not to get swept into the joy of the show. Luckily, I've got the best helpers.

Its almost time! The preparation is almost done soon we will be loading a van and setting up ready to see all the people and goodies that the sheep show has to offer! So exciting !!
I'm in shed 28, nearest the main gate with my amazing helpers and I have so many exciting treasures to show everyone.

Dyeing up a storm in the dye studio (bungalow)on this grey day, and when I'm inside trying to get organised I have a little "helper" in Pippin who is very focused on stealing my pencil..

It's that wonderful time of year when the lounge room starts to resemble a yarn store! The preparation for the Australian Sheep and wool show in Bendigo is well and truly under way! I had some wonderful help today with labelling it all. Many hands truly do make light work.

Today, I was lucky enough to go on a tour of and see how the yarn gets made on a large scale! It surprised me that the mill was actually a lot smaller than I had imagined, given the amount of yarn produced, and I loved seeing all the specialised machines in action I also enjoyed picking up a few balls to add to the stash and some acrylic to try crocheting some little cat toys.

A very rough outline of the process is the fibre gets cleaned and processed overseas then comes to bendigo in bales, these are blended and carded then spun and plied into various thicknesses. The undyed yarn is wound into 2kg hanks and put in a massive machine to dye (72kg at a time!) Then rinsed, spun and dried and then wound from the hank into a cone and from the cone into the 200g balls!

Well I had a wonderful day at the so nice to see all the other lovely makers and so many familiar faces of customers thank you all for making it a wonderful day! As always thanks for the help from the incredible .

I forgot to take a picture of my stall so instead of that here's a picture of our newly adopted kitty and new yarn assistant Pippin she's a terrible assistant and spends most of her time trying to grab the knitting and run away with it but she is very cute and one year old today!

Another finished object post! This is the Lionberry shawl by a beautiful crescent shawl with lots of different stitches to keep me entertained.
I made this for my mum in my 4ply in the colourway Watermelon sugar
