This might be a process you’re doing already.

If so, now you have a name for it.

If not, I hope you realise there is a lot to be gained from the way you move through your spaces.

Our built environments are always giving us cues and clues - what is your home telling you?

Growme Melbourne sorted my kids first and now it’s my turn! Their Dreamboard is the perfect addition to my WFH space - a central place to display my goals, reminders and tools. We all deserved to feel a little bit inspired ✨

Honestly, I wrote this book because I was that parent too.

The daily reminders. The bribing. The feeling like nothing was actually landing. (EXHAUSTING!!)

I’m a child development specialist and an interior designer, but at home I was just a mum who couldn’t get her kids to care about the space they lived in.

So I tried something different. And then I wrote it down.

Link in bio if you want to give it a try.

When a wardrobe isn’t working, you’ll notice it.

Things stop getting put away,
items go missing,
kids leave things where they land (and their independence starts to slip, too)…

Because a system that’s too hard to used is a system that doesn’t get used.

The PAX wardrobe is the one I come back to again and again for family storage. It’s flexible, it’s affordable, and it adapts as your kids grow instead of needing to be replaced.

Here’s how it actually works:

Widths: 50cm, 75cm or 100cm
Depths: 35cm, or 58cm if you need to hang clothes
Heights: 201cm or 236cm
Doors: hinged or sliding, handles or k***s
Inside: shelves, rails, drawers, shoe shelves, organisers — your choice, your configuration

This one sits in a simple rectangular corner behind a door. No custom joinery needed. There are plenty of PAX hacks online if you want it to look built-in, but for a straightforward space like this, the system does the job on its own.

Affordable storage doesn’t mean limited storage. It means choosing a system that actually works for how your family lives.

A small bonus: IKEA Family members get 15% off until 10 August, so it’s a good window to plan this one if a wardrobe for the kids’ room has been on your list.

AI is incredible. I use it, I learn from it, and I’m all for anything that helps families feel more confident making decisions in their homes.

But here’s what I’m noticing…

AI can give you ideas.
It can generate layouts.
It can even make things look like they work.

What it can’t do is truly understand your family.

It doesn’t see the way your mornings unfold,
the friction points you’ve stopped noticing,
or the small details that actually make a space feel calm, functional, and liveable.

It doesn’t know your child’s sensory needs, your tolerance for mess, or how much decision fatigue you’re already carrying.

That’s the human edge.

Good design isn’t just about what looks right. It’s about what works for you, in your real life.

So yes, use AI. Explore and get inspired!

And when you’re ready to turn those ideas into something that genuinely supports your family… that’s where I come in 🤍

If you’ve ever been worried that an interior designer might judge you or your home, I hope this listen validates that I most definitely WILL NOT do that.

Where you see guilt, shame or failure, I see opportunity.
