This year for Harmony Week, we created an interactive map for our team members across the country to pin the places that have shaped us; where our families are from, where we were born, where we studied or travelled, and other personal connections.

As we gathered in each studio to share potluck lunches, we took a virtual tour across the map and learned a little bit more about the life experiences that have made us who we are today.

“This is home, where all my dreams started."

"This is where my mum was born, and met my dad here prior to them emigrating to Australia."

"Between swim club, hosting a radio show, building outback forts, massive bonfires, riding bikes and catching scorpions… there was always trouble to cause."

We are incredibly proud to be a diverse team of creatives, shaped by different cultures, experiences and perspectives. By making space for everyone to share ideas and learn from each other, we are able to think more openly, design with empathy, and create places that bring communities together.

It all starts with us!

Eastern Creek Quarter (ECQ) Outlet is officially open! Our Sydney team had the pleasure of attending yesterday’s grand opening and seeing the new retail destination already bringing people together – fulfilling its vision as a place for community connection, shared experience and a new day out for Western Sydney.

Designed as more than a retail precinct, the project creates space for locals to gather, play and connect, while also celebrating the stories of Darug Country and a fostering strong sense of place.

We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone alongside our client Frasers Property and builder Buildcorp.

We’re incredibly proud of our South Australian Studio Leader, Madeleine Steele, who was recognised last night at the UDIA National Awards for her leadership excellence. It’s wonderful to see her contribution celebrated beyond our practice and across the wider property industry.

Congratulations Madeleine! 🎉

Leaders, creators, innovators. Behind every great design is a team, and within ours is a force of brilliant women who challenge biases, elevate ideas, and bring empathy to drive meaningful outcomes for clients and communities.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women in our team and reaffirm our commitment to upholding a workplace where their leadership is supported and amplified every single day.

06/03/2026

International Women’s Day is a moment to celebrate the achievements and successes of women. It’s also a call to action to address what’s still unequal.

This year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain’, highlights the impact we can create when we share time, resources, and support to move the dial towards a more equitable future.

In the spirit of this theme, we came together in each of our studios to do something practical; we partnered with .au to assemble clean birthing kits, supporting safer birth conditions and education in communities where access to these resources isn’t guaranteed.

Containing sterile medical items like soap, gloves, and gauze, each kit helps to reduce infections at key high-risk moments of care during labour, birth and immediately post-birth for the mother, newborn and birth attendant.

There’s still much work to do to build a more equitable future, but ‘Give to Gain’ is a reminder of what collective action can look like: sharing time and resources to support dignity, safety and care for all women.

Australia’s demographic profile is shifting to reflect an older Australia, but many hospitals still reflect an acute, efficiency-first model that can feel overwhelming or disorienting for older people, especially those living with frailty or dementia.

Our design response must accelerate ahead of this inevitability, because healthy ageing is not solely a medical objective; it is an architectural responsibility.

By integrating environmental data, spatial analysis and occupant perspectives, this research situates healthcare design within broader demographic, climatic and social transitions.

As the global data centre market accelerates, we’re strengthening our commitment to the sector with the launch of a dedicated Data Centres portfolio led by Associate Director Mark Claydon.

With a number of data centres already delivered including the award winning NEXTDC P2, the introduction of this portfolio formalises our ongoing investment in the people and delivery expertise required to support the rapid growth of mission-critical data centre infrastructure.

Mark brings structured design leadership and a delivery-first mindset to projects where program certainty, compliance and operational continuity are critical.

“Demand is high and there’s a lot of pressure to deliver data centres quickly. The speed of design and construction is increasing, but the importance of rigorous coordination has never been greater.”

Mark and National Portfolio Leader Gavin Kain are attending the Data Centre Leaders Summit in Sydney this March. If you’re headed there too, feel free to reach out to them for a chat or a coffee.
