Another year, another trade fair. It’s clear that warm tones & chocolate continue to dominate current trends. Apparently blue is going to be the next colour trend but I’ve always loved blues. They’re a classic colour choice.

I do enjoy going to these events to see many suppliers in one spot. I’ve been going for over 20 years (I’m so old!! 🤣) and I’ve definitely seen these events get smaller every year.

Dining room revamp 🥰 Swipe 👈🏻 for the before

This is the second room of this client’s house that I’ve worked on with them. They replaced the flooring and kitchen and removed a wall separating the formal & informal dining areas. I worked with them on the layout, furniture selection and decor.

By removing the wall between the two rooms, one large dining room was created. Their existing formal dining table was very solid but too big for the old dining room, however it was the right size for the new room so we up-cycled it by painting it white.

The new large dining room really needed larger scale artwork to anchor the room and the kitchen counter stools were selected to tie in with the new dining chairs 🪑

The power of the right bed linen for your room! The navy bed linen with the navy carpet was too much for this room. The clay stripe is a better pairing and more sophisticated whilst still being fun for a kids room.

This room does not even look the same! The existing furniture was the wrong size for the room and the layout needed improvement. We changed the wall the TV was placed on, added storage with the bookcases and a fireplace (which the client secretly always wanted - when did I also become a mind reader?! 🧠).

The brief was a lounge for the girls in the house to enjoy 💕. I live in a house of boys so it was fab to design a girly lounge.

Absolutely love this custom made bedhead with stunning that we created for this client.

This beautiful client wanted to maintain her sofas, coffee table and entertainment unit - so all the main furniture pieces! This room was, therefore, a classic redecorating project.

You can see what a difference can be made with a better layout and homewares. The addition of a console behind the sofa, a side table and replacing the chunky recliner with a statement armchair gives the room anchoring pieces whilst balancing out the dark sofas.

Size matters! The addition of artwork & a rug in the correct sizes completely change the feel of this room.

And finally, a colour scheme that complements the existing furniture & flooring has transformed this lounge into a beautiful space.

Loved doing this moody sexy bar room for my gorgeous brave clients!!

They had just moved into this home and had literally just painted the walls white when I swanned 🦢 in and asked them if they would consider painting it black 😳

I also ordered them these custom screens to fill the wall cut outs which came out as a stunning solution to a design dilemma.

I’m so glad they trusted me and we achieved this gorgeous room that they love 🥰
