Katapillar is an artisan collection of Eco friendly homewares, art prints and stationary designed by visual artist Katie McLorinan. Katie has exhibited in galleries throughout Melbourne and Victoria, and currently facilitates school holiday and art therapy workshops for children and adults. All of the designs are created from original mixed media drawings, paintings and digitally designed patterns

and artwork, then made into cards, prints, throw cushions and pouches. All the art prints and stationary are printed with archival inks on FSC certified recycled card and paper.

Happy Monday!

I’m so glad the rain has stopped and it’s a bit warmer today 😅

Over the weekend I was giving the website a refresh which was GREAT! But I realised there were MANY artworks on there that were available as prints but not as cards and vice versa!
So we are rectifying that this week, as wouldn’t be nice to buy a print with a matching card for someone (or yourself) as a gift! I do like a bit of matchy matchy 😁👏🏻

This Red Blood leaf print was one example of an artwork that has been available as a print for a while, but I’ve never made it available as a card 😳 😅 whoops
It will be available in card land later this week but for now it’s available as a framed art print in numerous sizes and frame colours.

Thank you to the lovely person who purchased this dear to my heart (well they’re all my favourites really… who am I kidding! 🤣) art print from my exhibition on now at The Bays Hospital in Mornington

It’s called “Mine, Mine, Mine!) I named it after those hilarious seagulls in “Finding Nemo!”

I’m so happy to know it’s gone to the home of a bird lover! 😔🐦🪶🎉

On Now until August, with some fabulous new work included 👏🏻🌼

Thank you to the lovely person who purchased this delightful mixed media photographic art print from exhibition.

It was inspired by my parents and grandparents amazing and beautiful rose gardens, that I was fortunate to spend lots of time in as a child and adult
When the family homes were sold years ago we had to say goodbye to all the lovely roses we had planted. We were able to replace some of them in our new houses but it’s never the same

So this one is called “The one I left behind” and references all the ones we left behind. (It’s also a lyric in the R.E.M song “The one I Love” 💖)
Not just the roses but all the beautiful memories and all the family members we’ve had to farewell
over the years. Treasure your loved ones especially your elders, sometimes they’re taken way too soon. Mine were all such special incredible people that I’m grateful for 🌸🌸🌸

There’s still time to visit my exhibition of flowers, birds and a few other creatures! 🐘😃 There’s some of my all time fave artworks as well as some newer pieces. A percentage of all works sold goes directly to the hospital to assist with fundraising to purchase life saving equipment.

I’m so proud and happy to be part of the amazing ArtCare program at The Bays Hospital for the next couple of months
I have some of my art prints on display and for sale in the main corridor of the hospital

A percentage of all works sold go directly to help raise vital funds to support patient care, so every purchase makes a big difference. So if you’ve ever seen any of my work that you like, and want to contribute to a very worthy cause… please pop on down and purchase a print or two!

The Bays is a not for profit healthcare organisation providing quality acute hospital and dialysis services to the residents of the Mornington Peninsula.
