Around 50–60cm beyond each side of the bed is a handy starting point. You want somewhere soft for your feet to land, with enough rug peeking past the bedding to enjoy it.

🛏️ Find your sweet spot.
Try positioning your rug under the lower two-thirds of the bed, leaving the bedside tables off. Have more room to play with? A larger rug can sit beneath those too.

✨ Try before you buy—with tape!
Mark out your rug dimensions with painter’s tape, check doors and drawers can open, then take a look from the doorway. A few minutes now makes choosing so much easier.
