If you’ve been in the shop lately you’ve probably noticed this sweet little pillow top waiting for me to finish it off. Yesterday was the day and now this project is up on our website ready for booking.

The class’ primary focus is the ruffle and piping, however, if you’d like to add the machine embroidery then you can certainly add that too. Super fun action packed class 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This week I wanted to share with you a wonderful antique wool coverlet that I saw on Cats On Quilt last week that took my breath away the first time is saw it. Of course this isn’t a quilt, it’s a woven design but at first glance I thought it was a quilt. It wasn’t until I read the caption that I realised that it hadn’t been pieced.

It captured my attention because of the simplicity of the design and because I hadn’t seen a pattern like this before. The colouring was simple yet very effective and I loved the reversing of the colours as well!

I wanted to share these images with you to remind us all how inspiration comes from all around us. We are influenced and inspired not only by other quilts but by textiles, ceramics, tiles, paintings, photos … everything around us. ❤️

Thank you Cats On Quilt for being a constant source of inspiration for me ❤️🙏🏻

My Farmer’s Wife has been a long term project. It’s taken several years to get to this point. I have worked on many things and finished lots projects during this time. I love having lots of projects on the go at the same time. Having things in different stages of completion, for the most part, doesn’t bother me at all. I would love more time so things could be finished more quickly and I could be working on my growing list of projects I’d like to make.

How lucky I am to have all of this in my life! Feeling very grateful this Sunday to be sitting in the sun with a hot cup of tea and my hand quilting on my lap ❤️
