Whenever I show people this project, they always say the same thing… the space looks so much taller now.
But we never actually touched the ceiling height.
Half-height wall panelling can really shorten the appearance of a space, and we didn’t have particularly high ceilings to work with here to begin with.
Simply painting the wall panelling, walls and brickwork the same colour made a huge difference. Removing those strong visual divides stops your eye from quite literally cutting the room in half.
Same ceiling height. It just feels so much taller now!
