Skirtings are a small detail in the overall space, but the right choice can quietly elevate a room in a way that’s hard to put your finger on.

What I’m currently crushing on:
→ Tall, deep profiles that add presence to high-ceiling spaces
→ Contrasting finishes like metal, marble or timber
→ Integrated LED skirting for a modern, understated glow
→ Unique scalloped shapes for something a little unexpected
→ Shadow lines for a sophisticated architectural edge

Save this for later 👇

Your environment shapes your mood, your behaviour, and your stress levels more than most people realise.

Not in a dramatic way. In the quiet, everyday way.

The kitchen that makes mornings harder than they need to be. The work from home space you walk into and immediately feel behind in. The bedroom that never quite lets you switch off.

Small design decisions have a compounding effect.

Save this!

What’s it like to work with me? What does the 3D Design Blueprint actually involve?

Here’s the full process:

→ Discovery — we talk about how you want to live and feel in your home

→ Mood board — direction locked in before anything is designed

→ Floor plan review — I flag what won’t work the way you’re imagining

→ 3D modelling — your space comes to life in three dimensions

→ Rendered visuals — photorealistic, exactly how it will look when built

→ Finishes schedule — every material documented for your builder

The result? You go into construction knowing exactly what you’re building. No surprises. No regrets.

You don’t have to choose between a home that looks beautiful and one that works for your life.

But if you don’t design for both from the very beginning, you’ll end up with one or the other.

Here’s what that actually looks like:

→ A stunning open plan kitchen with nowhere to hide the mess because the butler’s pantry wasn’t designed in from the start

→ An island bench that photographs beautifully but is the wrong height for the family using it every day

→ A walk-in robe styled to perfection that doesn’t actually fit two people’s wardrobes

→ A living room flooded with natural light that’s unwatchable in the afternoon because glare wasn’t considered

Aesthetics is what your home looks like.

Practicality is how your home works.

The best homes do both and the only way to get there is to make those decisions together, before anything is built.

This is exactly what I work through with clients before their build starts. Not just making it look good but making sure it works for the way they actually live.

Save this if you’re building or renovating.

And tell me below… which one do you find harder to get right? The look or the function? 👇

If the butler’s pantry isn’t on your brief yet, it should be.

This is the space that makes your main kitchen feel effortless. Everything messy, loud, or bulky gets hidden here. What’s left on show? Only what you want people to see.

What I’m loving right now:

→ Full-height open shelving styled with produce and ceramics

→ Concealed appliance bays for the coffee machine, microwave, and toaster

→ Warm timber that feels like an extension of the kitchen

→ A contrast tile or stone splashback as the feature moment

→ LED strip lighting because even the pantry deserves atmosphere

The best butler’s pantries are designed from the beginning not added as an afterthought. If you’re building, this is the conversation to have early.

Save this for when you’re briefing your designer or builder. 👇

“Clarity and confidence to make informed decisions.”

“Took the guesswork out completely.”

“Exceeded our expectations.”

These are homeowners who came to me overwhelmed by decisions, staring at floor plans that meant nothing to them, and left with a design they genuinely love.

If you’re building or renovating your forever home and feel like you don’t know where to start — this is for you.

Comment BLUEPRINT below and I’ll send you the details on how we work together.

Flat floor plan to a home you can actually see before you build it.

This open-plan living space felt like a guessing game on paper. Every finish decision felt risky without being able to visualise how it would all come together.

After working through the 3D Design Blueprint, this client could see:

→ How the flooring would tie the kitchen and living area together

→ Whether the island bench proportions actually worked for the space

→ Exactly how the light would fall in the afternoon

That clarity? It’s the difference between confident decisions and costly regrets.

Your tiles looked perfect in the showroom. So why do they look wrong now?

Showroom lighting is designed to make materials look their best. It’s controlled, flattering, and nothing like the natural light in your actual home.

Here’s how to avoid the mistake:

→ Get a large sample and bring it home

→ Place it in the actual room at morning, midday and afternoon

→ Hold it next to your cabinetry, flooring and walls together

→ Check it wet and dry if it’s going in a wet area

Better yet… see all your finishes together in 3D before you commit to anything.

💾 Save this before your next showroom visit.

Your home’s exterior is the first thing your family comes home to every day.

This client wanted more than a facelift. They wanted a front of home that actually worked for how their family lives. Better flow, smarter use of space, room to entertain, and a design that felt considered from the street.

See how we transformed the exterior in 3D before single decision was locked in. The benefit? You see exactly what you’re creating and you get to change your mind before it costs you.
