My inner west project, Yarraville, is live on The Design Files today. I’m excited to share some insight on how this double fronted Victorian adapted to a growing family two decades on.

Bedrooms are one of my favourite spaces to design.

I love layering texture, colour and materials to create a space that feels considered, inviting and uniquely personal to each client.

And when the bedroom flows into an ensuite, I love carrying those design cues through — connecting the palette, materials and details while giving each space its own identity.

Let the artwork lead.

For my Brighton study, the starting point was a custom artwork created by J E S S I C A O L P P specifically for the space — a statement piece that sets the tone for everything around it.

From there, I layered in wallpaper, furniture and carefully considered decorative pieces, while bringing in one of the client’s existing artworks to add another layer of personality and history.

It’s the balance of custom, collected and considered that makes the space feel unique.

Back for round two. ✨

A few years ago, I helped transform this beautiful mid-century home in Glen Iris. Now, I’m back to help write its next chapter.

An underused outdoor area is set to become a thoughtfully designed extension, connecting several existing spaces to better suit the way my clients live today.

One of the best parts of my job is being invited back into a home I’ve already had the privilege of shaping. There’s a deeper understanding, a stronger connection, and the opportunity to keep building on something special.

I can’t wait to see where this next stage takes us.

Layers are starting to come together for my Ivanhoe project — refining furniture and soft furnishing combinations alongside custom cabinetry design that brings personality and warmth into every space.

Drawing on an Australiana-inspired palette; weaving tones that reflect the Australian landscape — earthy, sunburnt, textural and grounded — while introducing bold, playful cabinetry moments for the kids’ lower ground retreat.

A day at the Melbourne Flower & Garden Show 🌿

From achievable gardens to beautifully considered indigenous landscapes, layered boutique spaces, and clever balcony solutions — every corner felt inspiring and doable.

The floral displays inside the Royal Exhibition Building were absolutely beautiful — sculptural, immersive, and seriously creative.

So many ideas, so much beauty… and a gentle reminder that great design can live at every scale.

Master bedroom in the making at my project.

Materials, finishes, textures — all working together before they hit the space.

Styling a boy’s bedroom — relaxed + layered.

Working with linen for that effortless feel, stripy sheets to bring in a bit of personality, a paired-back cushion combo (because less is more here), a coverlet and throw to finish it off.

~ Easygoing but intentional.
~ Pulled together without feeling overstyled.
~ Comfortable enough to actually use.
