Easy Beef Chow Mein Recipe (Better Than Takeout in 20 Minutes!)
INGREDIENTS
Chow Mein noodles - 375g or one packet
Beef slices - 200g
Chinese Cabbage - 150g
Carrots - 80g
Garlic - 4 cloves
Scallions - 20g
Cooking oil - 3 tbsp
SAUCE
Water - 3 tbsp
Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
Dark Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
Oyster sauce - 1 tbsp
Sugar or MSG - 1/2 tsp
If you’re craving noodles, this easy beef chow mein is the perfect dish to make at home. It’s quick, comforting, and tastes just like the ones you get from your favorite Chinese restaurant. The best part is you can make this delicious noodle dish in under 20 minutes.
For the beef, I’m using frozen beef slices that are usually meant for hot pot. You can find these in the freezer section of most Chinese or Asian supermarkets. I really like using them because they’re already thinly sliced, which saves a lot of time.
