Concept was invited to design and deliver a considered workplace solution for and at the landmark Aurora Place precinct at 88 Philip Street, Sydney.

Following the departure of the previous tenant, the vacant tenancy presented an opportunity to reposition the space and create a premium offering befitting the calibre of Aurora Place.

Rather than adopting a traditional demolition and blank-canvas approach, Concept identified an opportunity to retain and build upon the existing fitout, applying our market-leading Adaptive Re-Use methodology to unlock greater value from the existing environment while delivering a contemporary, high-quality workplace solution.

Working from a clearly defined brief and in close collaboration with the Aurora Place team, Concept brought the vision to life, delivering a sophisticated and premium workplace offering that reflects the quality, character and positioning of the precinct.

Two weeks ago, we officially opened the doors to our new Concept Sydney studio on Bridge Street.

It was a fantastic evening bringing together our clients, industry partners and friends to celebrate this important milestone with the Concept team.

For Concept, this studio is far more than just a new address. It represents our long-term commitment to the Sydney market, our focus on the relationships we continue to build, the capability of our growing team, and the next chapter of Concept’s national growth.

Most importantly, it is a space designed to bring people together, to collaborate, exchange ideas and showcase the way we think about workplace, design and delivery.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate and those who have been part of the journey so far.

A new home for Andromeda.

Andromeda is the team behind , a personalised humanoid robot companion designed to support people in aged care and assisted living. When it came to their 2,000sqm Melbourne head office, they needed a workspace that felt just as intentional - a space that reflected who they are today and where they’re heading tomorrow.

Partnering with Concept for the refurbishment, the design concept was inspired by the idea of light refraction and centres on a playful, colour-forward palette of hot pink and purple, mirroring Abi’s colourful design. From a striking feature mural and statement staircase under oversized globe lights, to a personalised reception wall, every touchpoint was built to feel unmistakably theirs.

At its heart, this isn't just an office - it's an active HQ designed for the way Andromeda creates, collaborates, and builds. Honouring Andromeda’s flat leadership culture, leaders and teams share an open floorplate that integrates HQ and warehouse operations under one roof. The layout seamlessly connects idea to ex*****on, complete with a custom audio testing lab, flexible breakout areas for team events, and quiet focus rooms. Existing skylights, pendant lights and structural details were thoughtfully refreshed, with former offices repurposed into modern meeting spaces.

8 finalists, 8 big ideas, 1 winner.

At Concept, we’re always looking for ways to live out our core values. Last Thursday was a prime example of 'continuously improving through innovation', as our team came together for a Shark Tank-style competition.

The event gave our team the chance to bring real, game-changing ideas to the table on how we can work smarter for our people and our clients.

Fuelled by an EOFY feast of delicious pastas and wine, the energy in the room was high as our 8 finalists took the stage, each given 3 minutes to pitch to the Concept live audience, before facing quick-fire questions to test the viability of their vision. Combined with our leadership team's initial votes, every team member stepped into the judge’s seat on the day, scoring colleagues against 5 key criteria to decide who would take home gold.

The standard was incredible right across the board - but a massive congratulations to Julia Payne whose winning idea took out top spot and earned her the $1000 grand prize!

Well done to all 7 of our final contestants (Matthew Sitch, Robert Evans, Ivy Li, Danny Gould, Jack McGuinness/Tomáš Mckenzie, Brendon Harslett, Baris Cicek) who stepped up to present their pitch, and to everyone who submitted an idea. As a thank you, all competition participants walked away with a $500 voucher.

We're excited to further explore and implement all the great ideas shared across the team!

Strategy, much like lunch, is about taking an intentional pause.

In and amongst the EOFY frenzy of June, we gathered leasing agents, tenant reps, and landlords for exactly that. Our lunch and learns brought together good food and honest conversation about how strategy, for individual workplaces and whole assets, can actually move the needle for each of them.

We shared some recent highlights, including how:
- An asset repositioning strategy helped a spec suite get leased out in 17 days in North Sydney.
- A tailored workplace strategy helped a national brand's tech division commit to an additional floor.
- A new ways of working strategy helped a landlord retain an international FMCG in their Sydney office.

Last Friday, our team stepped into SENSATION, an immersive after-hours experience hosted by Darkon and Autex Acoustics Australia at Bennetts Lane.

Interactive installations demonstrated how the intersection of light, texture, and acoustics can entirely reshape our perception and experience of a space.

We loved soaking up the atmosphere (and accidentally colour-matching with the acoustic panels!), the live music, and being surrounded by passionate industry peers. We look forward to bringing this design inspiration into future projects.

L8, 100 Pacific Hwy, The Cove, designed as a refined and highly functional workplace, balances professionalism with warmth, creating an environment that feels both premium and approachable, and highly leasable.

Prioritising openness, natural light, and uninterrupted sightlines to the expansive external views, the planning strategy ensures the speculative suite feels connected, bright, and spacious from arrival through to the work space.

At the heart of the tenancy, and as the social anchor of the floorplate, sits a centralised kitchen and breakout hub, connecting both client-facing and operational zones, encouraging informal interaction, collaboration, and moments of pause throughout the day.

Materially, the scheme is grounded in a soft and timeless palette inspired by the surrounding coastal landscape. Warm timber tones, textured stone finishes, muted blue-grey fabrics, sheer curtains, and tactile upholstery work together to create depth and sophistication without feeling overly corporate.

'The Cove' delivers a workplace that feels calm, mature, and effortlessly functional - a space that supports productivity while elevating the day-to-day experience of its occupants.
