Evergreen is 3.9 by 2.9 metres. The whole kitchen.
We didn't move a wall or a single service. The sink and the power stayed exactly where they were. What changed was depth — the cooking bench went from 600 to 700mm, and the island from 900 to 1000mm.
Forty millimetres of island. It sounds like nothing. It's the difference between somewhere you can roll pastry and somewhere you can't.
My client works in hospitality and tests recipes at home, so the brief was simple: keep the island empty and make it as big as possible. Everything else — the rice cooker, the toaster, the mixer, the air fryer — got a home behind a door, with power points already there.
Styled for autumn here, but the bones are the same all year.
