Handmade Haven A habitat for Crafters!

I host monthly Craft Retreat Weekends and Crop & Craft Days where all people and all arts & crafts are welcome.
I also sell a range of paper craft supplies and teach scrapbooking and card making classes.

My dream is to create a habitat for crafters where everyone is welcomed, inspired and has a space to create! I love sharing the fun of crafts with people and being able to provide an outlet for people to socialise, create and learn new techniques.

I can finally share my finished cross stitch that's taken me over 2 years to complete 🤣. This was for my now 16yo, Evan who some of you may have met.

Top tip... don't use either metallic thread or black Aida cloth!!

Pattern is from Melbourne designer Elise at Spruce Cross Stitch - check out her other awesome designs!

For easy framing I bought an A4 frame and covered the back with Jac Paper (double sided sticker paper) and pulled the backing just part way down at the top. I then laid the work over it and slowly removed the paper backing as I pressed down the cross stitch. Then I just trimmed the edges and put the frame back together.

Yeah, nah. A clean craft room means too much time cleaning and not enough time creating!

If you don't have room to create at home, check out my events and come and craft with us! I can put out an extra table today or tomorrow for you, or the next one is Saturday 27th June.

Its Saturday, whats you plan? Clean your craft room? or wait for the crafting fairies to come and do it for you. Those little ones, just dont seem to turn up very often do they?
