A new headspace coming soon to Fremantle, WA.

Construction is well underway at this 590 SQM, youth-focused centre which brings together four former retail tenancies into a unified, purpose-built space for the local community.

Tracking well against a short 60 day construction programme, the new space prioritises safety and flexibility, so young people seeking mental health services, feel supported from the first step inside.

Take a look at the progress below.

"Day hospital projects are equal in complexity to inpatient hospitals. Both operate with high patient throughput, tight turnaround times and require carefully considered clinical and patient zoning around theatres, procedure rooms, and service areas. Material choice, the transition between spaces, and integration of services and equipment infrastructure all contribute to a meticulously designed healthcare environment."
– Catherine Tan, Senior Interior Designer

Every element of a day hospital is carefully engineered around an optimised patient journey from admission through to discharge within 23 hours.

Our healthcare design and delivery teams bring over a decade of specialist experience across Australia, delivering a diverse range of Day Hospitals from haematology and oncology units and clinical trial facilities, to IVF day surgeries.

Today, on International Nurses Day, we recognise the critical role nurses play in Australia's healthcare delivery.

Nurses are often the unsung heroes of our healthcare system. Without their hard work, dedication and skill, our facilities simply couldn't deliver the standard of care Australians deserve.

At Interite, nurses can be an integral to our design process. As end users of our projects, their firsthand insights shape the spaces we create, ensuring our designs don't just meet a client brief, but genuinely work for the people who rely on them every day.

On International Nurses Day, we recognise the extraordinary resilience nurses demonstrate under long hours and growing pressures, and their unwavering commitment to better care for all Australians.

Aged Care Refurbishment | Stage 2

We are eight weeks from completing a fast-tracked refurbishment for a major aged care provider in WA. This stage covers 36 upgraded rooms and ensuites, plus refreshed lounges, dining spaces, reception and corridors.

Success on projects like this comes down to two things: design that responds to residents' needs, and the construction experience to deliver it quickly and accurately.

As Senior Project Manager, Terry Kirwan says:
"You can't fast-track a live aged care refurbishment without the right systems behind you. After years of delivering these projects, we've already solved the hard problems...the programming, trade sequencing, and site management required to keep the build moving without impacting residents or staff."

Final reveal coming soon.

Day hospital projects succeed at feasibility, long before construction begins.

The decisions made at this stage determine whether a project opens on time, within budget, and performs as intended clinically. At Interite, we've built our day hospital delivery model around getting this right from the outset, embedding specialist health architects and engineers at feasibility.

The result: fewer variations, stronger cost certainty, and better outcomes through construction and into operation.

Australia's aged care sector is under pressure to modernise, with many providers sitting on ageing facilities that no longer meet resident expectations, accessibility standards, or the requirements of the new Aged Care Act 2025.

The challenge isn't always building new. Often, it's making what providers have work harder.

Our team work with providers to address out-dated interiors and facilities, increasing bed capacity and operational flow through strategic wing upgrades. We understand the importance of low-disruption construction periods, so we deliver rapid, staged refurbishments which minimise downtime for providers and ensure residents experience better living sooner.
