Impulse, intuition, inner guidance, how do we listen to the quiet call of what’s next? I see this come alive so much through my own life and through art, it’s the path of mystery and unknown possibility, the path of the explorer and the devotion to true expression.

I have seen so many beautiful things unfold through trusting my impulse, and so many exciting opportunities arise through staying curious, discovering new parts of myself and my connection to life and art.

Thoughts?💭 Sharing this today to speak to the part of us that holds constant self DOUBT and expectation over who we think we should be or how we should create.
The doubt that stops us from ever trying, or even believing that we’re good enough to make art.

Art is not a skill in the way we think it’s a skill because I believe it’s an outdated idea of what the true essence of art and creativity is- our aliveness , our vulnerability, our expression of who we are in that moment, whether a refined, artistic skill is brought in or not.

Art does not need to look a certain way, it does not need to hold to a certain standard to be art.
Art is a natural expression we all have access to, let it be liberated through you!

My art has always been a journey deeper into myself, In coming home to the parts of my joy waiting to be seen, through the raw & messy as well as the beauty & balance, & it all continues to grow, change and expand with me.

I was reflecting this week how my younger teenage self would be so proud and excited to see who I’ve become and what I’ve been creating for myself so far in this life, no matter how many things I have still yet to do, and I’m reminded to let myself step back and embrace this often💖

I feel like I have a mountain of work that wants to be shared and a journey of time and patience that go with it. But there are always new versions of me in the making, and therefore new explorations, creative adventures and passions that want to be pursued.

More of me is becoming comfortable with sharing and selling these works as I go, so over the next little while I’ll be tending to putting these soul pieces out into the world 🦋 finding a bit more balance with tending to my own paintings after spending much needed time devoted to creating & launching my mentorship.
