A little winter special from the garden today 💜

I’ve put out a few free bunches of homegrown flowers, herbs, succulents and some pomegranates for anyone who might enjoy them.

Corner of Shakes Flowers has always been about more than just selling flowers. It’s about sharing a little piece of the garden, creating a connection, and hopefully bringing a little joy to someone’s day.

Winter is a quieter time in the garden, so there isn’t enough growing consistently for regular bunches like there is in the warmer months. But whenever I have enough flowers popping up, I’ll put together a few bunches and share them.

Spring will bring bigger bunches and more colour again 🌸

Thank you to everyone who has supported my little garden stall. It has helped me spend more time at home with my little boy and grow something I love.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌸

Today I’m feeling incredibly grateful for my little boy for making me a mum. After the journey it took to get here, I don’t take a single moment for granted. Motherhood is messy, exhausting, emotional and beautiful all at once, and I’m so deeply grateful for it all. 🌹

The roadside stall is now full of Mother’s Day flowers, with dried bunches set up in the driveway as well. The garden is almost completely picked, although I’ve left a few flowers blooming as a little treat for myself 💐

Today’s flowers are mostly very large round salvia bunches with autumn leaves, arranged in handmade keepsake vases created from recycled tins and materials, painted with the help of my toddler. 🌿

I’ll be open all day today with flowers available 💜

Happy Saturday 🌸

It’s a cold, drizzly morning out here today, but the birds are busy around the garden and there are still plenty of Mother’s Day flowers available at the roadside stall 💐

I’ll be here this morning creating flowers and topping up the stall as I go.

Today I’ll also be making some smaller bunches for $15, alongside the $30 specialty keepsake tins, which include:
• Fresh homegrown flowers
• A hand painted recycled tin (with my toddlers help)
• A little plant to replant afterwards
• Reused ribbons and wrapping
• A free pomegranate from the garden

Stella isn’t too impressed about me working outside the gate on her birthday today 🐾 She’s currently sitting nearby supervising everything.

$30 specialty keepsake bunches available this weekend

Each bunch includes:
• Fresh homegrown flowers
• A hand painted recycled keepsake tin
• A little indoor/outdoor plant to replant afterwards
• Reused ribbons and wrapping
• Something completely unique and handmade

Made slowly with my toddler by my side using recycled and donated materials, with every tin designed to be reused long after the flowers are gone 🌿

I’ll be out making fresh bunches again tomorrow, with smaller bunches and dried flowers available too.

Good morning 🌸

I’ve set up my little flower station behind the roadside stall under the carport this Mother’s Day weekend, so I’ll be here creating bunches and greeting customers as they pop by.

I’ll be here all day today, most of Saturday, and Sunday morning, so come say hello if you’re in the area 🌿

This year’s Mother’s Day specials are my hand painted recycled formula tin arrangements, made slowly with my toddler by my side using reused paper, collected ribbons and lots of colour and creativity.

Each bunch now also includes a little plant that can be replanted into the tin once the flowers have finished, so the arrangement can continue on long after Mother’s Day as a little pot plant or keepsake.

Every tin is completely unique and made with reused and donated materials, including some tins gifted by another mum. All those late nights, all that care… now turned into something beautiful to hold flowers 🤍

I’ll also have smaller bunches and dried flower bunches available across the weekend.

Mother’s Day specials are out at the roadside stall 🌸

It’s been a long time since I’ve had flowers back out on the stall, so this feels really special.

This year I’ve created a collection of hand painted recycled formula tins, made slowly with my toddler by my side using reused paper, collected ribbons, leaf prints and lots of colour.

The tins were donated by another mum too, which makes them feel even more meaningful. All those late nights, all that care… now turned into something beautiful to hold flowers.

Each one is completely unique and designed to be reused afterwards as little plant pots or keepsakes 🌿

I’ll also have smaller bunches and dried flower bunches available across the weekend while I continue creating fresh flowers each day.

Introducing my limited edition dried flower bunches 🌿

Over a year in the making, each stem has been grown, picked and slowly dried right here in my garden. These are the kind of bunches that only come with time, full of texture, soft colour and all those little natural details I love. I have created just four this season, each one completely one of a kind in purple, pink, yellow and red.

They are $35 each and once they are gone, they are gone. Made with love at Corner of Shakes Flowers in Nairne, Adelaide Hills.

Autumn Punch 🍁

Bright, punchy pinks, purples and touch of peach and yellow coming together in a burst of colour, with pieces of my maple tree as it starts to change with the season.

I couldn’t resist taking this one out under the tree it came from… something about that full circle moment feels a bit special.

Stella approved from behind, and the firewood stacked nearby ready for the colder days ahead.

There’s a gentle shift happening, and I think this bunch captures it. ❤️

A soft, full bunch heading out to celebrate a brand new baby boy 💙🌸

Mostly pink with gentle touches of blue, with the birds singing away in the background while I put it all together 🐦‍⬛

This one took me straight back to that newborn season, when my own little boy was born. Those quiet, tender days… the blue for the baby, and the pink for the mama 💐

I loved creating this one and connecting with such a lovely family 💗
