You might have heard of the dirty dozen but have you heard of the clean fifteen?These are the fruit and veggies we should be prioritising in our diets. They're found to have the lowest chemical trace amongst the 47 tested (according to EWG https://www.ewg.org/foodnews/clean-fifteen.php)

🛒 No need to insist on organic or chemical free. Buy at the supermarket (or where ever you shop) worry free.

It was an absolute pleasure to create this 60cm Natural Wreath for my dear friend and her beautiful family. From Bundjalung country to Awabakal and Worimi these little treasures from nature bring such a calming yet vibrant energy to the home. This one was a bit too big for the front door so it will accompany the family by their outdoor dining table surrounding by luscious garden, pool, and local birdlife.

Everything is foraged, upcycled, and representative of the steps I take toward our new normal, the circular economy.

🚫❗️Have you heard of the Dirty Dozen? It's a list of the most contaminated fruit and vegetables according to the Environmental Working Group.

The analysis found residue of pesticides in 75% of non-organic fruits and vegetables that were tested.

But, if you think the solution is to buy all organic?! Think again.

Local research in Australia is finding traces of pesticides in organic fruit and vegetables likely due runoff from surrounding farms.

💡So, what can we do?
🏡 Grow your own organic fruit and veg at home
🧐 Don't just seek out organic food, seek out chemical-free. Even "organic" allows for small traces of pesticides.

At Down2Earth Co.Goods our aim is to reduce the amount of chemicals in our homes, in our lives, and our plates.

It's an opportunity to deepen our understanding of this big beautiful and ancient land we call home. Check out the pictured "koala" or Yarriabini wall art for an insight to its cultural significance and meaning behind its foraged leaves and shape.
