Fun times at the Silvers Circus in Gisborne this afternoon. ⛺️

It was a wet and muddy day and a few cars got bogged on the way out. But it was a worthwhile outing.

Little Ollie hasn’t stopped being a performer and stage narrator all evening! A child’s imagination is a wonderful thing. ☺️

So fantastic that we have access to these unique and wonderful events in our local area without having to visit the city. Highly recommended if you haven’t yet been. 💕

The fun and creative outputs from Nature Kinder!

Every week I run a 45 minute session with twelve 3-4 year olds where we explore nature, talk nature and make craft with nature.

Yes, I have my Working With Children Clearance and public liability insurance.

I can deliver sessions at kindergartens, primary schools, or community houses. 🏡 I also work with elderly and can visit residential aged care!

Reach out if you’re looking for a horticultural facilitator to deliver nature/bush kinder sessions or elderly gardening activities in the Macedon Ranges. 💕🌳 😊

What a beautiful Autumn, Newham day!

Not only did we enjoy the hospitality of Newham CFA’s cake stall fundraiser, we worked hard on the flower farm; planting over 200 mixed cultivar Daffodils and Jonquils in the Daff Patch.

Then after all our hard work we get a call from the CFA informing us we won a raffle!

Thank you Newham Fire Brigade CFA for all your hard work year round!

Also a shout out to Kyneton Daffodil Festival for offering a beautiful range of Daffodil bulbs for sale online. All sales go towards funding the wonderful annual Kyneton Daffodil Festival! If you’ve never been, and you’re in the vicinity this Spring, take a trip to Kyneton and check out the parade. It’s great fun! 🌼 🤩

Enjoy your weekend 💕🥂

Happy Mother’s Day! For all the mums out there who have babies, young or adults, still by your side; for those who have loved and lost; for mums of step babies, adopted babies, fur babies, or plant babies. You are a mum, in heart and soul.

I hope you have had a beautiful day. I was spoiled with a family day in the garden, and we achieved so much.

🌱 Italian Ranunculus seed sowing using the paper pot system from Japan. No transplanting needed. The paper pots break down quickly when planted.

🛏️ Broke ground for our first raised flower beds for our Spring cut flowers. This first bed will house our presprouted mixed Ranunculus, Anemones and Tulips.

🪴 Cleared, covered and backfilled our mixed Daffodil and Jonquil bed, surrounded by established Iris rhizomes.

Check out the pics of our day, blessed with beautiful Newham weather. ☀️

Australia Day means different things to different people. And living in a society where we can hold different opinions and beliefs is one of them. To my family, Australia Day is a time that we feel proud of our flag and thank those who gave their lives, both on home soil and abroad, to allow us our freedoms we enjoy today, especially now moreso when there is so much volatility and unrest in the world. If we do not hold on to what we have today in Australia and everything it means to be Australian, we may not have it tomorrow.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians and ancestors who were here before us, and who now share their land with us, who have taught us the nature of country and its ways, shaped who we are today .

I also acknowledge the hurt of colonization on our ancestors and the way in which this nation was founded. I also acknowledge the suffering of people transported here against their will from nations faraway, taken from their homelands and never to return. And to all the people who found refuge here away from war and tyranny in their mother counties.

The society in which we have in our country today has grown out of pain and suffering and now we stand together as one. May we continue to grow stronger together.

Proud to be Australian. 🇦🇺 Proud to call Australia home.

South Australian farmer Harry Schuster has ploughed a powerful Australia Day tribute into his paddock for a third straight year, this time honouring the ANZACs.

A shout out for our real estate agent, Sandi Mueller - Real Estate Agent who helped our flower farm pursuit come true by selling our house in one week! 🥳

We first met Sandi a few years ago as our buyers agent, helping us buy in Woodend when we made the move south from Queensland. 🌴

But within a year our plans changed when I didn’t return to nursing, instead pursuing my interest in horticulture and cottage flower production. 🌸 We then realised we needed more land for flower crops! 👩‍🌾

We waited another year and then spotted our dream farm in Newham, but we had to sell! And within a few weeks of giving Sandi the go ahead, she made it happen! 🥰 🎉

We highly recommend Sandi, as well as her son, Charlie, who is a fantastic local electrician! 💕🏡
