My Name Is Jane is a photographic and social study of one of the world’s most beloved names. The project was first conceived in 2009, but officially commenced in January 2016 in Melbourne, and is an initiative of boutique creative agency Jane and fashion photographer Jared Beck. To date, the project has captured 35 Janes of varying age, demographic and social backgrounds, including; scientists, artists, journalists, designers, students, writers, professional knitters, accountants, retirees, to name a few. Each Jane has been photographed in identical studio and lighting conditions to deliver a pure anthropological study. In addition to the photographic portraits, each Jane has also been interviewed to add further context and depth to the project.
