Brass by Design is a boutique, brassware studio lead by Christopher Laurent and located in the Hunter Valley, one of Australia's most prominent wine regions, the studio produces elegant brass works across the globe. Specialising in the compilation of brass combined with raw materials such as reclaimed timber, copper, concrete and stone, Laurent, depicts beautifully unique architecturally inspired
pieces. The studio takes a deeply minimalist approach to object architecture and building projects, designing and producing bespoke brass creations for modern homes and commercial projects. Laurent uses character-first locally sourced, sustainable materials to hand craft truly interesting pieces. Projects include lighting, shelving, balustrades, tapware, faucets, shower heads, towel rails, roll holders, kitchen or door handles and an array of pressed and machine block objects. Components are artistically engineered and fabricated with precision. Assembly and finishes are crafted by hand with the utmost of care.
