A lovely yarn store in High Street, Northcote The Woolarium is a yarn store based in Northcote, an inner northern suburb of Melbourne Australia.

We offer a wide range of high quality yarns from all around the world, the finest accessories and patterns. There will be many opportunities at our workshops, classes and get togethers where you can come to seek advice, exchange ideas and learn new techniques. Come along to our Sit and Knit group on Saturday afternoons from 2pm as a way to get started. Please do come down to the shop and say hi.

As Socktober comes to an end today we’re showcasing some of our favourite sock related things at Woolarium!
- Learn to Knit Socks with us! Our last session of the year begins next week - for more info follow the link in our bio
- If you’ve admired the socks I’m working on at the counter then our sparkly Fireworks Sock Collection from Hannah Hannah Ginn will be right up your alley!
- The folks amirisu knit magazine & shop have knocked it out of the park with their Sock Knitting Club book - another stunning collection of patterns
- The sock accessories like the sock ruler from Fiori or our cute stitch markers add to any sock project

We run knitting and spinning classes! Learn to spin yarn with a wheel! Knit a garment with us at our Cardigan or Sweater Class, learn to knit socks or spend some time on colour work knitting. ✨ More dates now available, come and join the fun!

As we approach our sock class, I’ve started my second sock! Amy teaches a cuff down sock using magic loop and 8ply/DK weight yarn so that you can see all of your stitches and your sock grows nicely over the classes. Come and join us!
